@andiI have moved your post to OT as that device is not being worked on. It is not an easy process the basics are in here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps All our current devices are here https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/

@keneda Thanks, but I finally found it under the cover of what I thought was the m.2 slot. I've got my bluetooth ear buds working using an ancient D-Link dongle which oddly works rather than the Plugable one that's supposedly the best for Linux .

Hi and welcome @docmax About your device, I'm not sure it is currently supported there are the Xperia XZ and Z1 but those are probably the same. You can head to https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ to see a list of supported devices and their progress. If you want to get your hands dirty, you can try and port for your device. These links are a good starting point: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4328/qa-checklist-for-ported-devices https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps I moved your thread considering https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x

Pardon my brevity, but I've been reading nothing but arguments about this for a week. I have not seen one conversation about this topic which has remained in useful, measured debate. It has always devolved into name calling and subterfuge. I've watched friends leave and people get unreasonably upset over a conversation. I don't think that we're able to debate this topic here. Please find another forum to do so.

Hi @basedc I'm moving this to Off Topic as it has no direct link with Ubuntu Touch.

The fact that it only has 1gb of RAM would make this perform sluggishly with Ubuntu Touch. You would need to port this as well, info on how to do this is at http://docs.halium.org/en/latest/porting/first-steps.html and http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/Intro.html Best regards, Steve Berson

@c0n57an71n Great idea, I didn't know about this feature from ProtonMail. Voted! I've been using UT for more than 4 years already and ProtonMail for almost 3 years as my main email so this will be really a necessity for me sooner than later.

@tartanspartan - I've only tested to 128GB, and that worked well. Will have to try larger sizes, but need to order some in. Best regards, Steve Berson

@totalrando Youtube tends to be the dump of the internet... Sometime you find a treasure in it, but most of time it's garbage. And if you add "influencers" to the equation... :face_screaming_in_fear:

@mastersezer said in Redmi 8 and 9 ?: No one know about if it works? Yes, we do know. If it's not on the devices page, it does not work (yet).
