@TotalSonic I see the Note 9 Pro doesn't support T-Mo's band 71. How's the voice-call support in suburban basements and parking garages and rural areas? E.g., do you ever miss calls when driving on Interstates between major cities?

            @RobTheBold
I can't answer because of my european location and this is a north america specific band.
Perhaps could you ask this question on Telegram miatoll channel?

@RobTheBold - I have no plans to drive on the interstate between cities any time soon, plus I don't answer calls while driving anyway - and there are close to no basements here in central TX, plus this is a test device with a cracked screen, not a daily driver for me. So I am afraid I can't answer your questions at all.

Oh, I didn't realize that I've installed the OS update with VoLTE support.
                    For now:

                    Poco
                    Dev channel
                    Version 599

Sending a SMS will fail with volte on

Another planet, another time, another universe!

after some months of using, i know that after start using volte, 4G internet sometimes stop working, maybe after call/sms only thing that helps is to disable/enable data in indicators (no reboot required)
Eric from poco reported that adding new APN may help

For those interested in activating VoLTE on the Poco X3, here are the steps I followed:

                              • After enabling VoLTE, I noticed errors in the logs related to context 1 of ofono. To address this, I replaced this context with a new APN "Internet & MMS" using the commands available in /usr/share/ofono/scripts/.
                              • I also removed an unused connection using ncli connection.

While I can't guarantee that these modifications are the solution, I haven't encountered any issues since.

It's important to note that after exiting airplane mode, the poco often struggles to reconnect to VoLTE without a reboot.

Is this thread only for working reports? cos it doesn't work for me, on either of my phones

Enthousiast. Previously used Redmi note 7, now on Fairphone 4. Still fiddling with Redmi Note 7

@Caedem Yes, as indicated in the title, only what works, to make it easier to choose a suitable device for those who absolutely need VoLTE.
