Wish list : which apps do you need?

@brainbreaks said in Wish list : which apps do you need?:
Is it enough (in ubtouch) to just follow this guide for install:
https://ubunlog.com/en/blanket-an-ambient-noise-application-for-the-desktop/No, that's for Ubuntu, not for Ubuntu Touch.
Maybe this will help you further:
https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/appdev/index.html -
Online Banking App: Get transaction data;
In germsny possible via FinTS, a python library exists;
Unfortunately I didn't have time try it in UT.
Maybe someone wants to give it s try. Having a donwload of thw latest bank transactions and store them in sqlite db with the possibility to define categoried for earnings/expenses as well as defining rules for warnings would be great. -
@brainbreaks Have you tried

UT Bug Report App:
Using Github Rest Api it should be possible to make a simple app or big reporting.
App could automatically retrieve phone type and UT OS Built version and channel to submit bug reports to github.
Obviously only works for bugs that dont break UT or internet on the phone. -
@homer
I endorse ! -
- Running app (like Android's Fitotrack)
- Smartwatch connect (like Gadgetbridge)
-
@cliffcoggin IΒ΄ve looked at it yes, but when I press on the app in the store, nothing happens?
Edit: downloaded .click file from the website and opened with store app. Then it worked
It seems some apps in the mobile store doesn't open?
-
Thanks @Moem
I did look at the clickable solution . Installed docker and started creating. It seems my coding skills are almost near zero, though.
-
@brainbreaks I see what you mean. I installed it a couple of years ago for a trial and soon got bored with it, but I guess it no longer meets current application criteria.
-
@cliffcoggin dunno about that (criteria)
I think my problem is mostly, that I realize more and more, that I (although often browsing github) simply does not understand coding at all, unless someone have posted a tutorial .
The βgetting started" TUT for clickable was very straightforward, but did not include the steps for actually getting an app to work . At least from what I could manage to contain and understand. -
Currently, a mushroom identification app !
Hello @s710 . It is just an idea as your plant app is super great . -
-
Currently -
- DUO Authentication would be awesome
- Stock App (may adventure into this idea)
- 100% working US (Mint Mobile) MMS compatibility
If 1 and 3 would come true, i would instantly use UT as a daily driver
-
My wishes for Ubuntu Touch apps:
- Alternate browsers
- LINE Messenger
- Yubico Auth. (Needed for 2FA)
- Native Discord app
- Up-to-date Spotify client
- Navy Federal app
If someone manages to pick these up and publish them on the Open Store, I'd be very happy -
@asahi95 i know everyone hates google chrome .....i like it tho ....i wish i had google chrome ....to a lesser extent i would take chromium provided it could handle DRM content
-
@developerbayman any browser would do, Chrome or not, at least we can have more options
-
@asahi95 Unfortunately, UT is like iOS in a sense that currently only one web engine is available. It probably won't change until we properly support wayland. Wayland already works on some devices but still lack many integrations.
For now, you can try other browsers in the store such as Sapot Browser. It's a fork of Morph and I created it to implement what I want in Morph and I hope many of its improvements and changes will eventually land to Morph
-
@kugiigi Oh well, I hope that alternate browser engines do become available in some OTA update when Wayland is finished
Also, I might try Sapot Browser, it looks pretty good to me
Just curious though, will Sapot Browser be ported to Focal? because it seems like there's no changelog for that -
@asahi95 It will. Just finishing up some other things I want to add then I'll be working on the focal version.
-
@kugiigi Alright, sounds good!
