'crazy Volla'

Hi all,
more than a month ago , I started to face multiple problems on my Volla phone that seem to be (maybe) related to the screen management.
Sometime it seems my phone is 'controlled by remote'. The problem happens with different apps, i.e. with phone and sms; it seems that someone starst to tap the screen writing numbers and letters, or open apps without touching the screen. From the standby situation, trying to unlock it quite often the phone/display stays frozen, without accepting touches
Moreover, using the Candidate release I started to have problems with the bluetooth connection to the infotaintment system of the car (volkswagen). Going back to the stable channel release at least the bluetooth works again in a stable way.
Did anyone get this type of problem? -
@mv my Volla Phone X does not exhibit the problems you describe.
My old Nexus 5 did, but it had a very badly cracked screen. Half of the screen was not touch sensitive so I had to rotate the screen to get the working area and input field to co-incide. It would be OK apart from that for long periods and then suddenly experience random inputs. It got so bad I had to ditch it and buy a new phone.

@ian Thanks... hope it's not my case...

@mv i just have the same issue, my phone (volla phone) seems to be remote controlled (i had dekko2 and navigator openned, and it tries to open terminal typing a password ...). I shut down it and reboot and it seems ok now. I'm on the stable channel, never change.
I also faced this last weeks some freeze with the touch screen that need to reboot the phone, and the bluetooth with the car (toyota touch and go 2) doesn't work anymore (i have to shut down the bluetooth of the car to avoid connection, otherwise when i'm not in the car i lost sound and micro when calling ....) -
I had the problem of the random touches and screen freezing, but after removing the screen protector and cleaning the screen carefully, these problems are gone.
The bluetooth problem is known and separate from the above issue. As I understand the bluetooth components of Ubuntu Touch are old and need a lot of work.

Probably they just need updating. The move to focal will bring in updated packages, but these also will be 2 years old by now.

@mv I experienced similar problems with Volla 1 some months ago: Screen freezes (randomly frozen until I locked/unlocked the screen) and random screen input (text appearing and apps opening). I contacted the Volla support and they asked me to send the phone in for repair. Finally, I decided to replace it with a Volla 22 (they deducted the value of my Volla 1 from the Volla 22 price).

@gt - I have recently experienced similar problems with my Volla as well, seems the Gigaset hardware might be problematic after a couple years of age. Nice to see they gave you a discounted upgrade path to the Volla 22 though.

I have never had this kind of freezing screen problem until now. The causes (hardware and/or software, apps) in the case of a problematic Volla may vary depending on the Volla and and remain hard to identify. Or maybe there are good and bad series of Volla like some new cars which always have problems??
