@josele13 I only tested Miui version 12.0.4.0 running on Waydroid. Your version is very stable, just no Waydroid installation possible. That's why I had already written that in the Miatool group. The boys think I'm trying to tease them again, that's not true. So for Waydroid only Miui 12.0.4.0 makes sense. Libertine runs with every version. Waydroid only makes sense if you need it. But because you have to install Android, that's always 4-5 GB extra. That's just annoying and the user should know before installing UT. Or do you want to constantly set up UT? Of course you can create a lot by Webber himself. By the way, the SD card also works with Miui 12.0.1.0 !!! Regards

RE: Redmin Note 9 Pro doubt - Fake/Virtual 8GB of RAM?
@pe3noATo2DOTpl Attention please note the following very important. You must have Android 10 V.12.0.2.0... must be installed to install Ubuntu Touch. The bootloader must also be unlocked beforehand. This is the basic requirement, everything else is simple. Install the Ubports program as well as the ADB and Fastboot drivers. From here the journey to UT starts for me the support ends here. Good luck.

RE: redmi note 9s can't make calls even going back to stock
Hi thanks for this good advice, I know that Ubuntu Touch will be good. I'll keep an eye on the news channel, it's definitely better. On the subject of Bluetooth and FM radio, I will probably have to accept restrictions. Even with alternative Android roms there are problems. If I want to go back to UT I would have to downgrade to 10 again

RE: Redmin Note 9 Pro doubt - Fake/Virtual 8GB of RAM?
@Lakotaubp Sorry, I completely understand that. Xiaomi is unfortunately blocking firmware in some areas. People are here voluntarily to help all right. In order not to disturb the support it is better I leave. People I understand everything, but not to have to constantly switch from firmware A and later firmware B again. Especially the RNP9P here I can't get through anymore. It has been said by the porter the firmware V12.0.2.0. Now someone told me to try V.12.0.1.0. That's the only reason for my constant testing. It's now over and done sometimes it's better.Have a nice day everyone, and anyway thanks to Ubports and its software. Ubuntu Touch has potentially earned success!!!

RE: No USB data transfer on Pixel 3a
It is best to ask the port specialist Alfred. Or ask in the Pixel group about the device. There is also an Ubuntu Touch tool where you can set up USB. But as I said, it is better to ask the person responsible for the device.

RE: Obsolete devices. On the "promoted devices" page.
Well, I think there are more important things in life than dealing with the UT website. This is not just because of the website, but also because there is a lack of staff, as is so often the case. I suggest that you simply leave the devices that are no longer supported as an image in the installer and remove them from the main page. This way, users who have such an old device, which are not many anymore, can still use UT as Xenial as Not Os. Since I'm no longer up to date with development, I don't care about UT either .

RE: Redmin Note 9 Pro doubt - Fake/Virtual 8GB of RAM?
@Moem Yes, yes, sorry. I'm keeping a low profile here in this forum now too.
The royal majesties of Ubports development do not like normal users who can do more.

RE: Status of VoLTE (Voice over LTE 4G) implementation?
@beyolf Good morning to the hard-working Linux people. What is so difficult about the integration of VoLte for UT? Is it the fact that UT actually only runs piggybacked as a container on top of Hallium Android on some smartphone models? Do you have to rewrite the entire module from the cell phone? Then surely there can also be limitations with data processing and LTE? Why is there only information via Telegram, very cumbersome Anyway, good luck!

RE: tedit development and design discussion
Why do you need a digital shopping list today? You do it the classic way with a small piece of paper and a pen. If the battery of the Smierfon is empty, you can't use the app either

RE: tedit development and design discussion
Sorry, that's not what I meant Dear Mr. or Mrs. Danfro. Now I know which app you are trying to improve. I first thought of this shopping app, i.e. this shopping list app. Seems like you are trying to program a better alternative to an editor app!
I have no idea why posts are deleted. In any case, I can't see that posts are being deleted, at least not by everyone. Sorry again, I won't write anything more here in your science app tests.
OK, so an e-prescription app for UT, so to speak Josele13?

RE: MMS authentication setting
Then you might be able to try the two things UText under Xenial and Seabass2 under Focal. To be honest, that's all I know right now.

RE: MMS authentication setting
Normally, MMS and Internet access can be set up in exactly the same way as with Android and iOS. In my opinion, the Apn and MMS settings are under the network. Otherwise it really shouldn't work without a terminal. The question is of course whether it works with UText (no problem with Xenial) Simply saving the text file under Seabass2 with Focal is more difficult. Recommendation: First simply copy the entire setting for the Vodafone provider into UT as shown in the link. Where you find the network signal in UT, there is also the option for Internet and MMS in the setup. You simply have to create a new profile in the top right corner where there should be a + sign. If necessary, restart the system and test it.

RE: Microphone in Waydroid
Yes, just use a second smartphone for WhatsApp. The Waydroid thing is good, but I've also had problems like this with other manufacturers. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Or ask in the support channels for Waydroid in Telegram. It's just too annoying to wade through 100 groups. You get used to Google and Android by necessity, so to speak. Many people still use the WhatsApp data cracker.

RE: No audio out from headphone plug
@tomsome No, you don't need to reinstall anything. Try it once when the headphone jack is plugged into the phone to see if it wobbles. Then you can assume that it could be a cold solder joint. This can be fixed. Or just use an old cable with a 3.5 MM jack to see if it works on a box. It can then surely only be a minor issue!

RE: Bluetooth UI/Implementation Improvements (suggestions/thoughts)
Your idea is good, although the actual Bluetooth interface of Ubuntu Touch has the feature built in. Have a look at Xenial's Bluetooth apps, where I think there is even such an app. I think it even ran on Focal. I also made some attempts with Bluetooth from Ubuntu Touch to have a working handsfree. On Xenial, Bluetooth ran successfully and without problems, at least on a SIM card. Somehow the developers had to change something about Bluetooth. But since Bluetooth sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, depending on the device, I put my hopes on hold and went back to MIUI.

RE: No audio out from headphone plug
Is the plug possibly not plugged in correctly? My tip: Try Vol or UVol from the Ubports Openstore. With this app you can make sure that the volume is not muted.

RE: Status of VoLTE (Voice over LTE 4G) implementation?
Since I have not flashed for a long time to see the development of UT I am amazed. It seems a lot has happened in the development of UT. Are you still on Android 10 or already on Android 11 or 12 in preparation? I wish you good luck with porting.
