RE: Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
@arubislander
Thank you, I have collected a lot of feedback and would like to work on the quality check of the software.
I have already reported a few bugs, but as far as I know the bugs have not been fixed yet. I personally find that rather demotivating. Perhaps this was partly responsible for the fact that my penultimate post was somewhat impatient.
If there is no subcategory, I don't know how I can reach the right person. I have the impression that nobody feels responsible. -
RE: Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
Hello everyone, I didn't want to step on anyone's toes with my contribution. But after several nice inquiries, I have put some weight into the question this time. I am grateful to all volunteers and hope that the x23 will soon get its subcategory. I hope to be able to help with my experience with the x23 and my feedback.
Peace -
RE: Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
I have been asking for a subcategory for the x23 since March 1st and I am still waiting.
I don't understand why creating such a subcategory is so difficult? -

Does no one feel responsible for this issue?
Where are the employees of volla or Hallo Welt Systeme UG? -

Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
Hallo,
I don't understand why the volla x23 has not yet been given its own subcategory.
Please explain what the criteria for this are.
Many greetings

RE: Battery life......
I use ut focal on a volla x23 as my daily companion. The volla has 5000 mAh and I have a runtime of 2-3 days. I get along well with that.

RE: Wish list : which apps do you need?
@domubpkm
Delta chat seems to be an interesting project. Unfortunately, I have not read anything about pop3 support. But thanks a lot! -
RE: Wish list : which apps do you need?
I only have two wishes: A well working Signal client and a stable email client that supports Pop3. Dekko2 often crashes for me.
-
RE: How do you use UT?
I use the volla X23 with focal ota-4.1 as my only phone and for the following activities:
- SMS - ok
- uNav - not optimal but usable
- Morph Browser - ok
- Dekko2 - catastrophic
- Photo - unfortunately wrong GPS metadata
- Talaan - ok - for ToDo lists
- uRsses - ok
- DeepL
- Ubports forum -ok
- Notes - ok
- Calendar - unfortunately quite buggy
and hard to read with small white font on a gray background. - Music player - ok
- OSN Scout Server (unfortunately the option of setting the path for the map files
don't work correctly)
Problems:
- Volla X23 ghost activities
(programs are started by themselves in quick succession) - After booting, LTE/4G does not work on its own. You first have to go into flight mode.
- The calendar has many errors, e.g. after changing the time zone all appointments are moved. I now have many double and triple birthday appointments that I can no longer remove from the calendar, unfortunately you can't search for appointments in the calendar, etc..
- Bluetooth has improved but is still not good. If you switch while calling to a Bluetooth headset you can't hear anything and can't do anything and have to hang up.
That should suffice as an overview
Best regards Charly -
RE: Volla OS (Volla Phone x23) to Ubuntu Touch
@aaronm
I hope the two ut browsers are safe. I get along well with morph and am always in private mode. With axolotl you can expect it to work as a full signal client at some point. But the signal apk should also be installable via waydroid. I have no experience of how well this works. -
RE: 'crazy Volla'
@domubpkm
It's hard to test this because "crazy volla ghost" only happens occasionally. -
RE: Volla OS (Volla Phone x23) to Ubuntu Touch
@aaronm
There are two native browsers on ut: morph and sapot. I am not aware of any adblockers. Native for signal is axolotl2, which currently only works as a second device. Android programs can also be executed via waydroid. But I can't say anything about this personally. -
RE: Volla OS (Volla Phone x23) to Ubuntu Touch
@aaronm
Once again to your question. Since ota-3, the x23 has been stable in my opinion and regular restarts are no longer necessary. But there are limitations. The volume in a phone call can only be changed when using a headset
