I like the new design with this relaese channel update.
The messages are more readable, and that's good!
However, two small points are noted:

• when we close a scope starting from the left, the following is displayed in full screen, I would prefer that the scopes remain reduced.
• when you delete a thread in the messages, the next one only becomes visible by pulling the screen down, you have to leave and come back to find the correct display.

Same issue on N5 with recent update on rc channel...

@3arn0wl We have to be honest, I think nothing's perfect, in any existing os ! I'm an ex BB user, and BB10 wasn't perfect, like others. I don't need many games, I don't need many, many, many apps (and more again ), so UT works fine. As I said, I can use UT like a daily phone, at work too. I give my opinion because I'm think it's "essential" settings on a 2019 phone, bluetooth and accessibility.

So, I can do everything with my debian's laptop, I want to do everything with my UT device ! (caution, I'm not really serious )

@3arn0wl I agree, these are just remarks, I am well aware that developing an os is not easy.
I just notice that in the face of other os like lineage, some details are potentially problematic for many users, like me.
I still use UT for the moment (cause it's a good os ), but I can't be sure of not changing to have an os closer to my few requirements, you see ?

• I have Ut tweak, unfortunely, it's just a zoom for everything, I would like just settings for fonts only. If you zoom in, the icons become too big to be nice, isn't it ?
• about backgrounds, I didn't think the wallpaper but the application or SMS funds. I've tried suru dark theme but outside some apps become unreadable (time, call page...)

I must admit that bluetooth connection is a big lack for me and certainly a brake on the development of ut (many people need bluetooth...)

Hi everybody.
After one month using a nexus 5 with UT as a daily phone, here's first impressions :

• stable os
• easy to use, fast and nice !
• I have almost everything I want on a smartphone, dekko for mails (works fine with integration on notifications), uNav for navigation, flas and cloud music for songs.
• but, finally, i'm a french guy, so a little bit grumpy ! I've already notice here these minor details : bluetooth connection with speakers, non-modifiable font size, background color change...

Since yesterday, I switch my nexus 4 (previously on UT) on lineage os, just for test, only with f-droid. I prefer UT, except font size and bluetooth !

However, congratulations to developpers, nice job with UT, even if I find defaults !

@kugiigi What a pity... More practical to connect with bluetooth.
I've already explained in Q&A post why UT can't seduce more people, bluetooth management is a good example.

It's, for me, the same problem like linux distributions, it works very well but sometimes we have to "tinker". An user in 2019 want a user friendly phone. In my opinion UT is a good os but not perfect for daily use, it lacks the settings found on all other os, trivial things such as setting fonts, night mode for all, bluetooth, email management, (I'm a blackberry user, and the hub is really practical) ...

Fail test on nexus 4, need to reinstall UT...
I hope that the developers will have an idea for the future, I would like listen music with jbl speaker !

My nexus 5 is a reconditionned phone and I've two questions about it.
How long can you expect about autonomy with ubports, in a "normal" day, sms and call without games or internet ?
At first boot, I noticed that the brightness is lower than nexus 4 (side by side at 100% setting), it is normal ?

After one day with dark suru theme, I can't keep it. For what ? Just few details. On call page, red numbers on black background aren't really readable. It's the same on calculate app.
Anybody knows if a change is possible ? Developpers ?

On messages, nobody's find that green blackground is too clear ?

@advocatux I tried your suggestion, I've a terminal return : no space on /var/cache/apt/archives
Even if I've debian since many years, I'm still a newbie, can we use UT terminal like a debian terminal ? Can we use apt-get dist-upgrade ?
Or may I use libertine to install ?
