Hi,
The models were made from a patchwork of available images on the net ..
Some were recreated based on videos, low res "upscaled" images etc .. some origin pictures were better quality image so with less work on my part.
But I can't guarantee that those "origin images" were creative common at first .. (on repo there is a text file that show origin image links)
So my work on this isn't sadly sufficient to license all images as Creative common
I've done the "CC work" on The Fairphone 4 model cause they have officially published their model in CC ..
So I have replaced my previous work with their CC image and I have adapted it a bit. It is currently the only image that is "creative common"
This one can be put on wikimedia, no problem.
I would probably do the same for all fairphones but I currently have less time to do so ..
To make all 25 models full creative common I would need to find CC images for all models and readapt the work I have already done in the last "1.5 year" period, and it is time consuming
.
For Brax and Volla tablet and some Volla phones there were not a lot of quality sources available and none of those have CC equivalent.
Those models were highly modified though but the origin images were taken directly from their site.
Hi,
Updates ... since last post ..
All the phone models were updated with the new Ubuntu logo in the taskbar

The Fairphone 4 model was updated to be compatible with "creative common" license

The Fairphone 6 "artwork model" was added to the gitlab project.
Note it is NOT compatible with Ubuntu touch
, but the model is already there if one day it is made compatible

Isn't there some sort of bounty program for Lomiri ?

Perhaps it is possible to do the same ?

Hi,
Illustration of Volla Tablet model was adapted to match the original design with the "AI camera" on the back

PS: As always feel free to use the files for marketing purpose or "spread the word" posts or videos... [gitlab project link is on first post]

Note 9 Pro Max 8GB/128
I can't help you with the technical stuff ..
.. but If you want to make a video and need a banner, I made some "design files" for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 with Ubuntu touch you can find it here:
https://gitlab.com/design3680819/ut-hw-models/-/tree/main/Phones/Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro?ref_type=heads
this link contains one example and the original files in gimp format
There is now a new initiative to "buy European" that is gaining a lot of traction (even classic official news and paper media): https://www.goeuropean.org/
Most of the promoted devices are made in Europe (Fairphone, Volla) and UBports Foundation is German.
wouldn't it be a good marketing step to be part of this by officially inserting "Ubuntu touch" as a potential "Android alternative" on the site: https://www.goeuropean.org/ ?
Isn't it possible for ubports to ask permission to Fosdem to put the presentation on your youtube channel ?
Kind regards
@stanwood
Thanks for the message
To be clear it is a "re-creation" based on pics/videos from their kickstarter, so if they want to use this illustration or improve it, they obviously can
..
All newest volla phones are also in the gitlab repository and all is also free to use/adapt.
I tried to "help the project by doing", so everything there is meant to be used to promote the ubports project ... else I've lost my time
Hi,
I've added the Pinetab2 model to the collection of gimp files for compatible devices with Ubuntu Touch.
See gitlab project
https://gitlab.com/design3680819/ut-hw-models

@Keneda Nice to see .. I'll update the model list as soon as we get a "clearer picture" of the phone
Simplified Phone mockups models in SVG have been added to the gitlab project..

Since Flutter makes it is possible to create Linux apps for desktop and that we sometimes need external apps for specific purposes.
Would it possible to make a flutter app that is compatible with ubports
If it is only on flutter team side ..
?PS: I don't know a lot about flutter nor on Ubuntu touch development so excuse me if the questions are silly and totally out of touch with reality
kind regards
@MrT10001 the 2 pixel 3a phones are so similar that I opted for the alternate color as a differentiator
I can try to "make it pop" a bit more though
For completion sake
, ... here is the last update
Added to the gitlab project :

Here is the latest update to the "Artwork" for compatible devices with Ubuntu Touch
Added to the gitlab project :

@kugiigi you're right I have pushed the wrong file for the Fairphone 4
