@stanwood
Thanks for the message
To be clear it is a "re-creation" based on pics/videos from their kickstarter, so if they want to use this illustration or improve it, they obviously can ..
All newest volla phones are also in the gitlab repository and all is also free to use/adapt.
I tried to "help the project by doing", so everything there is meant to be used to promote the ubports project ... else I've lost my time

RE: Phone and Tablet Models for ubuntu touch
Hi,
I've added the Pinetab2 model to the collection of gimp files for compatible devices with Ubuntu Touch.
See gitlab project
https://gitlab.com/design3680819/ut-hw-models
PS: As always feel free to use the files for marketing purpose or "spread the word" posts or videos...

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 143 Call for questions
Since Flutter makes it is possible to create Linux apps for desktop and that we sometimes need external apps for specific purposes.
Would it possible to make a flutter app that is compatible with ubports- in mobile mode (eventually as a Progressive Web App) and in desktop mode?
If not what are the obstacles to make it work ? ...
Is it purely something that would be on flutter team side to work on ...
or could someone "hacks" it with custom made plugins ?
If it is only on flutter team side ..
- Since "Canonical and Google worked together to enable Flutter on Linux" could someone at Canonical help to make the portability a possibility ?
PS: I don't know a lot about flutter nor on Ubuntu touch development so excuse me if the questions are silly and totally out of touch with reality
kind regards - in mobile mode (eventually as a Progressive Web App) and in desktop mode?

RE: Phone and Tablet Models for ubuntu touch
@MrT10001 the 2 pixel 3a phones are so similar that I opted for the alternate color as a differentiator
I can try to "make it pop" a bit more though -

Phone and Tablet Models for ubuntu touch
Hi,
I have made a collection of gimp files for compatible devices with Ubuntu Touch.
I hope you find it useful !The Gimp files
- are (very) high res to allow easy edition before down-scaling
- it also contain each part of the device in separate layers (front/back of the phone, shadow, screen, taskbars)
To sum up it is very easy to adapt .. and to give it the specific resolution for any need.
See sample picture of the models available hereunder
The gitlab project is available here :
https://gitlab.com/design3680819/ut-hw-modelsIf ubports finds it useful ..
This can be used by any active Ubports member that find it of use .. for example for marketing purpose or "spread the word" posts or videos (website, post, videos, powerpoint, ..)It is free to use or adapt ..
It can't be creative common cause
- I don't own the original material used to make the models: it is the property of the companies that designed the respective phones/tablets
- I obviously also don't own the Ubuntu and Ubports logos, wallpapers used in the project
The only thing I own is all the transformations made in the project.. and I allow Ubports to use it as it sees fit (with the obvious limitations written above but I suppose it is "fair use").
PS: I could make other models but it takes time [took me a week for the current project] ,
so I would probably only focus on near 100% compatibility devices or devices from sponsors... if needed -
RE: Devices Webpage Update
@Moem,
thanx !
to answer your remark .. it is semi intentional ..Like you mention it is just a mockup ..
Also I have modified the original "official page",
.. but I'm in no position to decide which model should be shown on that page
.. I'm also not in position to change the official text so I made the minimal changesSome of the devices are community ported other are officially supported
the one plus Nord N100 is an example .. I don't know if the porter wants its port in front page or not ...
the pixel 3a was a defacto replacement for nexus 5 and it was publicly announced as 100% compatibleI also have models for "fairphone 4" and "Lenovo Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen" cause they have good compatibility
The idea is to provide the files for all models so - what to use - can be sorted out by persons in charge

RE: Devices Webpage Update
I'm not a designer .. but I have made a humble mock-up of the promoted devices pages to adapt the devices images to better match the compatibility of the "all devices part"
I also added the Volla tablet in the mix even if it is not yet in the list
(the image below is in low res below cause the forum refuse a bigger pic)So I have the corresponding gimp projects available with the most compatible devices (in very high res, so it can be reduced for all resolution needs)...
The project can be be edited further if needed, there is a separation between the screen, front frame and back of the devices + task bars.
Took me a long time to make it so if it can be of any use, I can provide the projects if Capsia or any ubports active team members find that useful ..
I just need how to share them efficientlyKind regards
