RE: "Are we mainstream-ready yet?"
My experience and what's still missing
I installed Ubuntu Touch on a Poco X3 and used it as my everyday device for about two weeks.
Of course, I encountered various difficulties, which I would like to list here: (Note: I usually use a Graphene OS phone).-
There is no clean integration with cloud solutions: Nextcloud works to some extent, but all areas should be able to be docked to the supplied apps: mail, calendar, and contacts.
Ideally, a secure cloud such as “Proton” or “Infomaniak” would also be provided. -
To get around this problem, one alternative would be to use a cloud like Proton directly in the browser. That's what I do on my Linux PC.
For this to work properly, the browser on the desktop and on the cell phone would have to be the same. And then it would also have to be possible to synchronize the settings (Vivaldi browser). That way, you could work without an app. -
Of course, banking apps won't work, but you'll have to live with that if you change your processes a little.
-
You can't expect the same convenience as with an Android phone. I think back to when I switched from Windows to Linux. It was a shock at first, but today I can't imagine anything else.

Re: Ubuntu Touch Installation Guide for Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC / X3
I downloaded the linked MIUI (surya) version and extracted it. But in there is no file named "flash_all.sh". Where can i find this file?

RE: Difficulties with downgrading my OnePlus Nord
@rocket2nfinity USB debugging and developer options are enabled.
Have I understood your reasoning correctly:
Connect mobile phone to PC (adb devices shows id)
Then install Qualcomm driver
Then put mobile phone into edl mode: adb reboot edl
Reinstall Qualcomm driver
Then start msm? -
RE: Difficulties with downgrading my OnePlus Nord
The Qualcomm drivers are installed. I should also mention that I tried this on a VM running Windows 10. I no longer have a Windows computer. ADB Fastboot is also installed.
USB debugging and bootloader unlocked.
‘ADB devices’ also shows the corresponding ID, but ‘fastboot devices’ shows nothing. Accordingly, there is probably no connection in MSM either.
PS: Qualcomm was installed with driver verification disabled. -

Difficulties with downgrading my OnePlus Nord
Hello everyone
I am a beginner when it comes to Ubuntu Touch, but I wanted to try out the system because it's such a great idea. I have a OnePlus Nord N100 with Android 11.I tried to downgrade the phone to Android 10 following the instructions (https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1541327).
I've tried everything, but I always fail because the MSM tool can't establish a connection.
Is there anyone in Switzerland who could help me with this? A nice meal afterwards would definitely be in order.
Thanks -
