The regression is possible when there is a call to test the new OTA. This helps ensure that the OTA update is released without errors.

@oldbutndy said geometry dash: Anyone know of a way to forward SMS messages to 2nd phone number, when main number is unavailable (weak cell, airplane mode, etc) ? After many weeks of asking questions (here and Google) regarding voice calls over WiFi, considering software solutions and mixed (hardware / software) solutions, I finally had the sense to ask about voice call forwarding to second phone which has functional WiFi calling. Google said 'possible'. Carrier said 'we support that'. [just requires 2nd phone line, and phone, and remembering to keep it charged. tedious but workable]. I set it up & tested it. Seems to work ! So, now the last critical problem is no SMS over WiFi, when cell signal is too weak. My requirement is communication with 'average' user, who has only OEM android or ios messaging installed on their phone. That rules out asking everyone I need to communicate with to add and learn new apps. Asking google about that, answer was that any SMS forwarding solution would be linked to WiFi calling. Can anyone shed light on options here ? or UT plans or progress (testing status, etc) ? Standard SMS can’t be conditionally forwarded like calls when your phone is unreachable—carrier forwarding usually only works for voice, not texts. Your best options are enabling Wi-Fi Calling + SMS over Wi-Fi (if your carrier/phone supports it), or using services like Google Voice or call/text forwarding apps that mirror SMS to another device. Otherwise, your antenna solution (or adding a signal booster) is the most reliable workaround without changing how others contact you.

@oldbutndy said: or (2) on another brand, if you brick the main board during UT install, you effectively cannot get a part replacement in any country but France (if I understand that thread correctly). Replace France with EU, then it is correct. I know, as I bricked my FP and had it brought back to life by the said French company, which does hardware costomer service for FairPhone. I do not live in France, but inside EU. It has been a smooth experience, by the way, quite contrary to the bad reputation of FP customer service.

@oldbutndy https://t.me/ubports https://t.me/ubport_linphone There's also a Google Voice app but it needs to be updated to 24.04. It's an extended WebApp that solves login issues when making a WebApp with Webber

@RapidRotator said in What is quality level of external wireless display mode on Nord N10 5G: @oldbutndy I honestly never looked in what is making Jellyfin see my TV as something it can cast to, while it specifically mentions Google Cast to be unsupported, but it works, without any other dongles hanging out of its HDMI ports. Hmmm, can you tell me exact model of your TV ? I will research that, see if similar direct WiFi to my LG Smart TV (which apparently supports Miracast, since I did not do anything special to get UT phone to display on it.) I specifically bought LG TV (used) because I read somewhere that its OS is Linux, and built-in browser was functional (thought slow, like most). (I never use it, since everything connected to TV is FASTER & has more DRAM). Related note: I tried a Samsung S20 wired directly to TV, running their DeX mode. looked good. But, I would want to install UT (not available), or LineageOS. So, checked LOS, & they say VoLTE not working ! So, Oneplus Nord N10 (or possibly a couple others soon, I just read) is STILL the best option for USA, as of 2026jan12.

@Moem said ... most of us have full lives and don't read the forums every day. Me too, usually. I just focused to try to get something working, due to 30 day ebay seller return policy. Failed interaction with Oneplus support ate up 12 days of that.

@oldbutndy said: @Leroy_Linux Running 24.04.1n (daily - but randomly doing the updates), MVNO USMobile > T-Mobile Good to know. I'm running 24.04-1.2 stable and T-Mobile. I misread your post. Somehow I interpreted the phone wasn't working well, but you clearly stated that it's just not a daily driver unless WiFi calling or native VOIP. (neither of which I've used... my requirements are just for the working phone which it has done well thus far). Thanks and sorry for my confusion. Hope you find a way to meet your requirements!

I deleted it after reading that Libertine is on its way out & Snap now supported, so I installed the snap version & it works OK- wireless external display - 4K TV. Also connected $10 (USD-Amazon) Acasis USB-C port expander to charge and plug in USB Keyboard & USB stick (with *.ods test file).
