Hi all! I'm new to this community, thanks in part to the Pinephone UBPorts CE. Some questions in no order at all: Will we ever see clickable desktop support ARM64 machines (e.g. Pinebook Pro)? What are the expectations for moving to Wayland on UBPorts? Is it expected to eventually make Lomiri faster (in terms of responsiveness, or enabling GPU acceleration in apps, etc)? What do app developers have to worry about in terms of switching over?

@libremax said in Q&A 80 Blog and Audio Available Now: Do you mean "when Ubuntu Touch rebases to Debian" (instead of Ubuntu) ? Nope. @UBportsNews means that Ubuntu is a Debian derivative and that "Packages in Debian sid normally get sync’d to Ubuntu. There’s no reason to expect [Lomiri] to be handled differently."

Another Pine Phone 64 user here who just received his phone 3 days ago. So far everything is working fine, battery life is so so but that's Ok as I know these things will be worked out. One issue I am having and I put a post in the Pine Phone forum is not being able to get my Mint Mobile SIM card to connect to the carrier even though its activated and I received an email from Mint Mobile stating as such.

@cliffcoggin - That was also happening in my case. I am searching for OTA-13, getting results from around 2016 and 2017. I guess this will diminish over time - in the next month.

Indeed, in my opinion OTA-13 is a monstrous update, perhaps the most consistent one, which required a phenomenal amount of work, all this done with very limited means: we have to be aware of this, and even more so if we don't do the analysis and programming work ! So especially a big thank you to all the developers who continue to bother and tear their hair out for this OTA 13 ! The 'grail' will be I think when https://github.com/ubports/qtwebengine-opensource-src-packaging/pull/30 will be merged.

@dobey Thanks, I did not know that. It makes sense that there are binary compatibility issues if the D-pointer pattern is ignored Could you give me an example where the private API is used?

Is the current UT build for the VollaPhone using Halium 9? And if so, does the current UT build use the same vendor partition that is used by Volla's modified AOSP?
