"Robust, slim, strong Successor to the Volla Phone X23"
        8/128 GB for Plinius
        12/256 GB for Plinius Plus
In both cases "expandable by up to 1 TB with MicroSD memory card"

As usual available with VollaOS or Ubuntu Touch or both with multiboot

"Save up to 15% with the code PLINIUS":

        https://volla.online/en/volla-phone-plinius/

Those Volla Plinius are clearly linked to the GS6 and GS6 PRO from Gigaset:
        https://www.gigaset.com/hq_en/gigaset-gs6/
Regarding the hardware two differences though for Plinius Plus versus GS6 PRO are 12GB of RAM/ 8GB and the Plinius Plus back with Pogo PIN.
As usual, the software is what most differentiates the Volla from the Gigaset, with VollaOS, Ubuntu Touch, multiboot and other softwares and services integrated by Volla.

@libremax Very nice! Morevover, an Ubuntu Touch version will also be available thanks to a dual boot option:

            @libremax Nice!

Seems like a good option, more affordable than Quintus. I Just wonder if eSim will be supported allowing dual sim as it supports only "1 nano, 1 eSIM"

@pparent Indeed, and Volla has reintroduced the MicroSD port, which had unfortunately been removed from the Volla Quintus.

              That's very interesting!

Nice device ! I picked the Fairphone 5 because it supported 5G and had a removable battery; if I had this choice available then, I would have preferred the Plinius.

                  Very nice!

Non-EU users, note that Volla will sell outside the EU via an indiegogo page linked from their main site. The Plinius page presently links to a Quintus Indiegogo page, but I'm sure one is coming for the Plinius.
Seems they've been selling internationally this way for a while. I didn't know.
Not much is written about cell network compatibility, for those of us in nations where networks may require "whitelisting" for a device to be able to make calls, etc. But I blame the networks and a lack of government oversight for this more than I'd blame a company for not going and asking cell networks all over the world to whitelist them.
Anyway, as ever, you need to do your homework as to whether the device will work on a given network. Nice to buy from a company directly supporting and working with UBports!

Still no wired display out 😞
They mentioned UT's convergence though which is weird.
Also, bad job of reviewing the page, they said RAM instead of possible ROM which is also an outdated term and they did it twice πŸ˜…

Anyway, it's nice that Volla still keeps on supporting UT. I haven't been interested with any Volla device except maybe the tablet but I really appreciate their support πŸ˜„

The network connectivity is offered by the processor. There is a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 in the Plinius. You can find network support for the processor on the Internet.
It's not a guarantee but quite likely.

                      Greeting Charly

P.S. Are npu supportet by ubuntu touch?

                      Greetings

The Plus has pogo pins at the back, so maybe that way? But yes, the way it is described you'd think it's plug and go.

Also, bad job of reviewing the page, they said RAM instead of possible ROM which is also an outdated term and they did it twice πŸ˜…

You mean when they describe how much memory the devices come with? Then yes, RAM is the correct term.

They are a bit outside my budget for phones, but it is great to see them continuing to support UT, I agree 100%.

@arubislander No, they listed both RAM and storage as RAM,unless they corrected that now
