Wish list : which apps do you need?

Wish for a good Audiobook player and a manga reader app
-
@Rebecca58
A Briar client would be good too. -
@Keneda - for resizing I find
gthumb
in a Libertine container can work fine for this, although obviously its interface is clumsy on a mobile device.InstantPho
also has some free rotation abilities (within the limit of 25 degrees either way) in its "Adjust" control. Obviously free rotation being added to the Gallery App editor or other native UT app would be a better solution though.Best regards,

@TotalSonic said in Wish list : which apps do you need?:
I know that but libertine is far from stable on any device, when it's not just unusable, see on the forum the number of people that had problem with it, even having to reinstall uT from scratch...
My phone is my daily driver, i don't want to beta test on it, and i don't want to loose any data.
And for free rotation, i know in instantpho there is a beginning of it, but, like you said, limited to 25°, and with a zoom effect that prevent from choosing what you want to keep/crop, that's why i said "free rotating it (with no crop)", "zoom and automatic crop" i'd have to say.
Beside, instantpho has its own problems, i opened an issue already : https://gitlab.com/dobey/instantpho/-/issues -
Neither Libertine nor Anbox is anything other than a temporary fix. We need to build apps suitable for use on touchscreen devices (across platforms).

@kuailexs
I suppose you're ChineseThose are Chinese market oriented solutions. Do you know if there is a Chinese telegram group ?
It might help to have people able to read Chinese to work on these solutions.About Alipay (I don't know the specifics) it might be difficult as much as it is almost impossible to get other payment solutions on UT.
But again, I can't read Chinese so I don't have any clue -
@kuailexs The Chinese telegram group if it helps https://t.me/UBports_Chinese

I think there are two apps at the moment I need to use UT as daily driver without android support.
Those are Threema and Whatsapp. I know WA wont happen.What I miss most is a communication/event center like the bb hub. How convinient this is, I think just people, who have used it, understand that. At first I thought the scopes develop to something similar, but those are gone now.
A more efficient keyboard you be nice as well - the bb keyboard is as well an good example.

I would really love to be able to use Bluetooth for handsfree phone calls when driving. This is something that many people need and it's apparently currently not working on OpO.
-
@Moem
I'll second that. Car audio bluetooth not working are the 10% missing to make it a full daily driver, for everything else there are native solutions or work-arounds I am perfectly happy with. I hope that this will eventually happen with PinePhone where developers have control over the hardware. It is probably unlikely to happen for all supported UT-devices - as far as I understand (using UT on N5, FP2 and PinePhone). -
@nogoogle It doesn’t work neither on my N5 (OTA 12 stable). Bluetooth pairing on car headset is fine but sound and microphone doesn’t work yet.

I am very much hoping for more development of Axolotl (Signal client).
It is my most used app.
Sending and receiving one photo per message goes fine, text too.
I cannot however send multiple photos in one message.
I cannot receive multiple photos in one message, it then only shows 1 photo of the batch multiple times.
I cannot save/export received photos/messages.
Some messages are not delivered to me, if it contains other content.
This may sound very negative, but it's not intended to be.
I understand development takes a lot of time, but Axolotl is an important app for me. Hopefully it will get more development soon. -
@stanwood The problem is that it does not only depend on the type of phone but also the audio system involved (see this thread: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3308/bluetooth-pairing-with-car-audio-system/2?_=1598552544960).

@Rebecca58
Hi, thanks for asking. Nothing fancy I´m dreaming about.
I´d like to have:- a graphical file editor to open, edit, save and delete txt, log files.
Currently I could not find an app where I can open larger files (> 10 MB) and from a folder I "want". They are restricted to folder and/or crashes.
Most of the time I send the file I want to check/modify with dekko2 to my mailbox. Thank god (or at least hummlbach & stefwe) dekko2 is working! - Cleaner for logs, cookies, history of browser and other temporary files (OS and apps) and not needed language packages, something like "BleachBit".

@nogoogle Indeed. I have test it on 2 models: Seat Alhambra media system 2014 and Ford Fiesta sync 2017. Same unsuccessful result on both systems.
-
@Moem same issue on Nexus 5.
-
A contact app that sync with nextcloud.

I know this is an old thread, but an XMR wallet app would be pretty handy. I think we've only got a bitcoin wallet on the app store so far, as far as I know? I would definitely throw money at someone for one since that's something still keeping me tethered to my desktop.

@Baguette_Child Not anywhere near usable yet, and I have no idea for sure when it will be, but I've just started developing a wallet app for Monero: https://gitlab.com/dobey/tongbao
