Just installed new Demo Browser and I'm pleasantly supprised how it works. In some aspects, better than Morph itself!
No Unity8 crashes so far! Yes, it's basic, but a great start for an awesome browser.

For anyone with Meizu Pro 5 who might have a trouble to install a new 16.04 OTA-4 on Pro 5, I created a full clean install of 16.04/stable to by restored with TWRP.

@wlbi After OTA-4 there should be more focus on porting to a new devices, as guys from Ubports said. There are some candidates as Oneplus 3 and 5 and some guys managed to port it to Xiaomi as well. We wait for the new edge channel and hopefully there will be experimental builds soon.
Yes, I know, it's frustrating to wait, but don't forget this is a community project, not under Canonical anymore, so it takes time. That's the price to pay, but we should be happy that this project did not die after it was abandoned by Canonical.

Just tested new Edge 30.07.2019 image on Pro 5.
Oh yeah, the new launcher is great and is so much better then the old one. Even home button on Pro 5 works. When pressed, it behaves like swipe from left and pressed again like swipe from right.

New Unity8/Mir is working smooth on Pro 5. The best performance/smoothness/speed ever!

@Ghostrider Bluetooth issues will be sorted, it's on the list to do, after more important issues and upgrades. I know, it's a long waiting for that to be fixed, but with limited workforce, there is no other way around it, unfortunately.

Has the decision about a new Launcher been made or not yet, as it is targeted for the next OTA's together with a new Mir and Unity 8, so what it is going to look like?

I don't want to stir the muddy water here, but is there any chance that Pro 5 will be updated to Xenial? Back in Canonical days of Ubuntu Touch there was even working 16.04.2 STAGING channel image and it was booting. Yes, it was unstable like the ice on summer sun, but it was there. I read somewhere along the lines that Pro 5 will only get a bug fixes but no Xenial upgrade/rebase. It doesn't make a sense to scrap it. There are probably some other users with Pro 5, that would love to have this device to be moved to core devices.
Please can someone explain this device situation?

I was flashing TWRP recovery and I already had UT on it. Never happened to me with any other phone, well, not in such a level that I can't fix it myself. I might try again to use MSM tool, but since I don't use Windows, it's rather a pain to do it. So many versions of MSM tool, so many versions of drivers to try... I'll give it another shot and then just repair shop, I guess...

I managed to fix my Op6t with Windows ( yeah, unfortunately not Linux.
I used MSMtool and it finally worked. The culprit was , you have to install the driver once in Qualcomm Crashdump mode connexeted to PC, then unplug it, swithch the phone off, launch the MSMtool, hold the volume up on the phone and at the same time just plug it to PC. Then MSMtool program already running, it just detect it and do all for you. Clever. I couldn't believe it. I was trying to flash the phone with fastboot for fortnight now and I just done it and I'm so happy. Phone is ok. UT is going there very soon.

@hekathegreat Hi, I'm facing same problem here on Op6t. No luck with Linux, nor with Windows.
What did they tell you in the repair shop? What was the issue there? Corrupted partition/s?
29€ is not bad price for restoring it, better than to buy another phone.

@keneda I think I've seen some video Op6t running Waydroid, can't remember.
Anyway, the waydroid itself is installed and running ( from terminal output ), but there is an error, wayland not present or something like that.

@ernest O.K. Just for info, GSI Halium 9 on Op3t, (v9) camera was working just fine ( no video recording though) , on (v10) it crashes the system. On Halium 7.1 camera after installing gst-droid was working just fine apart video recording as well. I haven't tested Ota-14 on Op3t yet.

@ernest I run LOS 16 at the moment as daily. Thought it was for bug in camera on GSI 9.

@libremax maybe there should be a separate list for UT devices and Bluetooth headsets for hands-free calls as well. Just to avoid confusion.
