I was going to jump to Fairphone 4, but would have considered this instead if it would've just had 5G.

Sailfish has call recording built into the phone app with the push of a button. Just sayin'...

@domubpkm There's absolutely no need for uAdblock or any alternative. Why would you even want to use something like that when you can just pull the hosts-file from https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt for example, or edit your hosts file any way you see fit, and have system-wide adblocking without any app? Makes no sense.

@dalharmony That's funny. I've never used an Android device or any Android app in my life, and I never will. My mobile OS history is Symbian > Maemo > Meego > Sailfish > Ubuntu Touch, and I have gotten by and do get by perfectly fine. Needing Android apps seems like a mental handicap to me. I absolutely do not want any Android app capability in UT - I actively avoid such crap. So no, Ubuntu Touch is most definitely not for you. Being a slave to Google seems your lot in life.

You are on the wrong OS because you don't appreciate the power of Linux, even for something as extremely simple as adding some adblocking lines to a hosts file. The adblock app option requires more steps, will not work system-wide, and will use more resources. So, you're choosing an inferior solution, and acting smart about it.

Rounded corners don't look "modern" or "designy", they just look stupid, and for practical use ARE stupid. I would've bought one otherwhise, but I'll send Fairphone a mail saying the rounded corners make it a no-go for me.

@PublicLewdness Well, obviously what you should've done is order the device with Volla OS, which would've enabled you to multiboot off the MMC. Your problem would've been easily fixed in that case. I'll put both Ubports and Sailfish on my memory card and will rest assured nothing I do with either OS will break my device. Would that you were so lucky.

To round things off, some good news: Late afternoon yesterday I got a mail from Deutsche Post saying a package was on its way from Trend Services which will be delivered Monday next week. That will be the Volla Phone, right? So in conclusion I'll recieve it roughly 10 days after treebeard, even though going by Hallo Welt's own statements to the fact, I should've recieved it 20 days before. Not enough of an issue to contact customer service about in my book.

@treebeard What a weird response. When pre-order is available - which it was from Volla mid-february, obviously funds have already long ago been secured and production started. Availability was already at that point said to be late May. If you pre-order a month and a half later, you are not "investing" in a possible future product, you're simply pre-ordering from another site. And when I pre-ordered from Volla, I also "supplied the money up front" (with the same €50 rebate, by the way). They have my money since March 4, so why you have the phone before me because you selected another website with a stupid name is a mystery.

I don't need a lesson on how Indiegogo works, by the way. I ordered the Fxtec Pro1 X years ago, and I'm still not any closer to getting that one either.

Why did you order through Indiegogo when it was available through the official webshop? And why apparently are Indiegogo orders prioritized?

I'm still not offered v2 on my Volla. What happened to the rollout?

Looking at the links provided in this thread, I still don't see a clear answer to whether OTA-25 will arrive, or when.
