      https://github.com/ubports/morph-browser/pull/273

Many thanks to ldubeuf @lduboeuf (with the review of UniversalSuperBox @UniSuperBox ) for spending a lot of time to solve this very disabling problem that no longer appears on the Dev channel (i don't know for RC). This is an important step for the good use of Morph-browser on a daily basis. πŸ‘πŸ‘

    • Webber - webapp creator

Just for information, on the Openstore, a new Webapp creator : Webber.
The application is only in its first steps but seems to me very fluid and easy to use.
      Thanks to Tim SΓΌberkrΓΌb.

@ChromiumOS-Guy Thank you to you and @Fuseteam . It is good to realize in a concrete way all the investment time that this requires voluntarily to obtain an app which will make great service to all. It takes a lot of skills of course, but also above all a lot of passion for that.

And this comment is of course valid for all developers who spend number hours to develop apps for UT.

Even if I have two days late (sorry, I didn't know the American thanksgiving day πŸ˜‰), I think that BALCY with his huge work on morph-browser also specifically deserves a big thank you because without his work, the phones would only have rather limited functions... !!

There has been a lot of progress on Morph-browser, thanks, but there are still too many sticking points on it for a browser easy daily use. What do you think of this situation ?

As an indispensable (game πŸ˜‰) new port on the OpenStore, there is now Tux Racer. Very happy about that ! πŸ™‚

When I learned that Canonical was dropping the project for their own reasons, I was "disappointed". When I heard that Ubports was taking over the project, I had great hope, and it was only confirmed : only developments and prospects !!

@messayisto erasing mediascanner cache or all cache doesn't solve the issue on Volla 22. After a certain number of unknown restarts, it can work again, but seen like that, it seems pure chance.

@Ken1971 said in Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 is scheduled to be released on 24 September:

Everything works already with the sole exception of copy and paste. The paste doesn't work yet.

Are you saying that copy / paste doesn't work currently and is a noble bug (reported on gitlab) for all phones ?

@kristatos All done. Erase all the caches, restart Media-Hub Services. It has worked again in the eighth time after turning off the smartphone for half an hour, and restarted the Volla 22.

It is an old bug but i don't know if it has been explained.
Very strange. When the bug seems fixed, i don't know why.

It starts again on my Volla 22 ota-9 the icon of videos do not appear. I am at 7 restart and it does not fix anything. Restarting media-hub services does not change anything either.

    • RE: android 14 shipped with new FP5, do I need to move to 13?

@RJDan I don't have a Fairphone 5, but on the devices page for the Fairphone 5
https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/fp5/ , it is said that on "see how to install UT" :
"Your device must be running the Fairphone OS version of Android 13 before installing another operating system. With a previously installed custom ROM, it won't work! "

But yes, wait a confirmation of the procedure of somebody who flashed UT on Fairphone 5...
