@Opino If you have the skill to fork and update this great app, many would be happy.

@Lakotaubp Good start but What do you mean in your Edit ? Screenshot possible ?

RE: This week in development (week 52 2024)
@Lakotaubp ... that's why I waited for focal OTA-3 before moving from xenial to focal on my daily Volla at the time, wanting to do a clean, stable installation, and with the indispensable hotspot for me. What about the hotspot with 24.04 currently? Did you tried ?

@Lakotaubp said in This week in development (week 52 2024):
Installed 24.04 on a clean wiped OP5 and it works as it should at this stage
Not did yet with 24.04 but it is exact. It has always been said that it is better to do a clean install if you change the "vintage" of Ubuntu. The problems are largely reduced.

For those who have tested, does morph work well with all sites ?
Edit :: and hotspot ? -

@danfro said in This week in development (week 52 2024):
Tap To Wake the screen
Tap to wake up the screen is not for all smartphones (not for the volla 22 in my case). The usefulness of being able to wake up the screen is certain to avoid wear and tear on the power key. What I like about android is that it is possible to wake up the screen using the volume key if this function is enabled. It would be nice to have this feature with UT too i think.

RE: tedit development and design discussion
@danfro It seems that changing channels (i went from stable to devel) is enough to crash the copy with a long press. Works again without crashing after a copy with the keyboard.

What do you mean with system parameters?
I mean that
Ok, the installer.
But indeed, I don't want to juggle between channels and do this if it destabilizes my daily use volla 22. -

@kristatos said in This week in development (week 52 2024):
I've installed it on a Rephone/Volla22 since a few weeks
System parameters / update / dev channel ? Not tried 24.04 yet.

RE: Do you want to talk about G!sForecast?
@Vlad-Nirky It's really unfortunate what's happening and is it a coincidence that this is happening with your app ??.. I was able to enjoy this app for a few days. I hope this is not a funeral.

RE: tedit development and design discussion
@danfro I am not making a cause and effect relationship, I am describing what happened (volla 22 OTA 7) while everything was ok for some time:
- installation of Mimi 0.1.3 then crash of Lomiri at the 1st search under duckduckgo.
- clear cache config data then uninstall Mimi.
- copy data in Tedit with prolonged finger presses: Tedit crashes.
- copy data with virtual keyboard: ok.
- copy data with prolonged finger presses: ok again.

RE: Do you want to talk about G!sForecast?
@Vlad-Nirky something bad happening again : 4 day weather forecast now ?
Edit dec 14 : 3 day forecast..
-
RE: Do you want to talk about G!sForecast?
@Vlad-Nirky yes, just seen that.

RE: Call block?
@AppLee Of course, all your warnings are fair and normal. That said, only competent people can examine the code and report or correct flaws. I simply recognize that a developer dared to launch a call blocker with a user interface, something long awaited.
-
RE: Do you want to talk about G!sForecast?
@Vlad-Nirky Just an idea. Is it possible to make the forecast page zoomable?
-
RE: Call block?
Jozef Mlich (pseudonym unknown to me) is welcome in this post or another, if he wants to tell us about his call blocker . More convenient than using Gitlab with UT smartphone currently for the reason we know..
-
RE: Call block?
@AppLee said in Call block?:
And as always for unconfined apps (and other, but specifically unconfined apps) be aware of the risks associated with granting full system access
I guess if it was possible to make a call blocker without giving access to the whole system, the developer would do it.
And I dare to hope that especially for this type of app, it is reviewed before being published to avoid the intrusion of any dangerous code.
