When will there finally be a subcategory for the volla x23? The device has been around for a long time now.

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 153 Call for Questions
Hello,
many thanks to the many dedicated people who make Ubuntu Touch possible in the first place. I'm happy that Ubuntu Touch exists.Unfortunately since months see the further development of ubuntu touch 20.04 silent, because almost all resources go into the development of 24.04. My x23 has some known bugs and I'm eagerly awaiting 24.04 in the hope that the bugs and new features will be worked on again.
I would be pleased if the status of 24.04 could be presented.
Maybe also with a non-binding timeline. How is the changed for the other applications? Thanks a lot & Greetings

Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
Hallo,
I don't understand why the volla x23 has not yet been given its own subcategory.
Please explain what the criteria for this are.
Many greetings

RE: Volla OS (Volla Phone x23) to Ubuntu Touch
I had ordered an x23 with volla os, but got an ubuntu touch. I have never regretted it, because ut runs well on the x23. there are still a few bugs, but it's enough for me as a daly driver.
Good luck -
RE: Wish list : which apps do you need?
I only have two wishes: A well working Signal client and a stable email client that supports Pop3. Dekko2 often crashes for me.

RE: Why is there no dedicated subcategory for the Volla X23?
Hello everyone, I didn't want to step on anyone's toes with my contribution. But after several nice inquiries, I have put some weight into the question this time. I am grateful to all volunteers and hope that the x23 will soon get its subcategory. I hope to be able to help with my experience with the x23 and my feedback.
Peace -
RE: Volla OS (Volla Phone x23) to Ubuntu Touch
@aaronm
I have been using ut focal on volla x23 for half a year now and can probably tell you whether what is important to you works well or not. So ask me if you want. -
RE: Battery life......
I use ut focal on a volla x23 as my daily companion. The volla has 5000 mAh and I have a runtime of 2-3 days. I get along well with that.

Please add the x23 in the subforum for volla devices
Hello,
When will the volla x23 get an entry in the subcategory / subforum for volla devices?
Thanks & greetings
CharlyP.S.
That is not a focal question. But unfortunately I can only send contributions on the subject of focal or libertine

RE: Chat GPT
I use a offline KI with a size of 4 GB from huggingface.
It is slow 0,5 TPS, but it works.
It uses a lot of RAM and CPU power. -
RE: New App: Where?
I hope I have understood well.
unav can be exported his position to send it to someone. I choose to divide sms. but don't send the sms. I go to the sms and copy the content. now I can send my current position about the messanger or email. -
RE: Some issues after installation
Hi, I have a volla x23 too and also I have a list of my known problems and mistakes. Your problems are not there, but that probably depends on the life situation, I do not drive a Ford, for example.
I'm waiting for ubuntu touch 24.04 in the next year to submit all my bug reports. For Focal 20.04. is probably not being worked on this anymore. By and large, I get along. I also use my X23 as a daily driver. Good luck! -
RE: 'crazy Volla'
@musicologist said in 'crazy Volla':
this problem seems not to happen to every volla. So, if I understand you correctly: you had these problems and they went away for months now?
Yes, over a period of one year. In the beginning usually 1-2 times a week. Wasn't nice, but I could live with it. There were always periods where there were fewer problems. Then about 4 months ago on holiday (walking in the mountains in Austria) I had it about two times a day. Then actually no longer. In between, there was ota-5 and now 6. Maybe the software has solved the problem or it occurs especially with a certain use? Just Crazy that describes it quite well.

RE: Call for testing: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-6
@peat_psuwit said in Call for testing: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-6:
Charly (and anyone affected by broken mobile data on OTA-6 RC), could you please try resetting APN settings and replace them with the current values from the database?
To do so, go to System Settings > Cellular > Carrier & APN > APN, then select "Reset All APN Settings…". Confirm the action, and then note if the settings change or not. See if mobile data is restored. If not, try rebooting the phone and check again.
Hello, I got the RC (V15) installed today and tried the proposed changes. After some time I have the mobile data worked again. I have made a few more restarts. The mobile data works for the Volla X23 with the latest RC!
Unfortunately, the mobile data does not work directly after a reboot. As before, the airplane mode must be activated briefly beforehand.
Thank you for your support.
Many greetings Charly -
RE: Call for testing: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-6
I had deleted the update cache after each error report. Unfortunately, that did not help.
