@Lakotaubp I tried the dev channel again and got the bootloop. Back on rc now.

RE: No mobile wifi todays devel Update
@Lakotaubp The p3a dev update resulted in a bootloop for me. Reinstalling dev channel resulted in booting to fastboot. Had to install the rc channel.

RE: No new stuff for xenial, but what about old new stuff?
@kugiigi Just addressing the 'selfish' tones of this post. Not selfish at all. My heartfelt thanks to you all who freely share your knowlege with those of us who can't understand even if you show us.

RE: USA-5G & VoLTE work fine with UT devices
@totalsonic Didn't know about the July 1st thing. I believe that the booster acts as a proxy server. I do know that without it calls in or out do not work.
Edited my first post.EDIT: AT&T 3G shut down Feb 22
T-Mobile will shut 3G down July 1st and Verizon probably in Dec.EDIT: 3/6/22 OPO sim disabled. XperiaX and Pixel 3a still good.
EDIT: 3/15/22. No more calls in or out Pixel 3a or Xperia X. So much for high hopes.

USA-5G & VoLTE work fine with UT devices
Useing OPO, Pixel 3a and Xperia X the changes are positive. Better clarity with calls in and out, messanging and internet work well, and so far no complaints from Tracfone or AT&T. Also, to achieve this the Anntlent signal booster must be powered up. Expensive but much better than Android or Apple. So far so good.
EDIT: No problems with internet or messages if I still have data left to use. Oops. -
RE: Does One +1 support VoLTE?
@rohitpatil Of the OPO, Pixel 3a and Xperia X, ATT does not support the Xperia X. At this phase of the VoLTE rollout I can make no calls in or out on any of them regardless of signal strength. However, with the Anntlent 5G signal booster on, calls come in and go out just fine on all of them. That could end with the final VoLTE phase next week. We shall see. (Nothing wrong with ''High Apple Pie in the Sky Hopes.''

RE: UB Ports funding
@dizzy said in UB Ports funding:
@farmer Yes, its usually to much trouble with payments for stuff like this. But, I just found that you can donate in their store. Its just like any purchase. Payment with card and an automatic invoice per mail. Try it!
Just what I was looking for in all the wrong places. Thank you again.

RE: UB Ports funding
I've tried a number of ways to help Ubuntu-Touch to succeed. When PayPal charged a fee to create an account it seemed I must have followed a wrong link and stopped. The bank wire seemed to be the answer but my bank refused to let me wire funds internationally to an unknown, to them, bank. I have since been looking for a local developer interested in UT to whom I could make a weekly donation in support of free public software. We all could and should do that.

RE: Just Rambling
@farmer I also found that LTE settings will automaticly be applied to all phones that will support it by the carrier regardless of OS being used.

RE: Just Rambling
@farmer Oops. Got lost there. Anyway, freedom doesn't happen without sacrifice. Good t-shirt slogan, no? And speaking of tracking and profiling, which I wasn't; the iphone apps are still very useable via home wifi. Sort of inconvenient like the personal phone that is hardwired to the living room wall. Profiling was very personal if one was on a party line. Personal business soon became community knowledge. Some things do change. Anyway, I do like Ubuntu Touch very much. A sincere thank you to all who make it what it is.

Just Rambling
It would seem that here in the US the transition to 5g is happening. The only difference I see is I now have some service where there was none before (one or two bars and according to the iphone, that is 3g LTE service.) UT phones get the same boost but cannot use the 3g for calls. Basicly nothing changes if nothing changes. The OPO, the Pixel3a and the Xperia x work as before; where I had no service I still cannot call on 3g LTE. Wonder why Maw Verizon and Paw ATT didn' t just simply l

RE: Can't enable oem unlocking-Pixel 3a
@fredldotme Again with the latest android version the Bonito bootloader was even lower on the phone (B4s4-0.1)and the sargo image would not recognize it.. Finally hopeing that the 0.1 version was Android-9, flashed the 190801 sargo image and it worked. From there it was my speed; just push the buttons. Best phone OS in the world. Thank you all for developing it and for taking the time to help.

RE: Can't enable oem unlocking-Pixel 3a
@fredldotme Got it. The bootloader was sargo, downloading the newest version now and hope to work through the install. Thanks to everyone for your help. Will let you know after a lot of trial and error.

RE: Can't enable oem unlocking-Pixel 3a
@nero355 Yes, LATEST is the key word. Instead of updating the phone I updated the computer. Enough said. Thank you.
-
RE: Can't enable oem unlocking-Pixel 3a
@lakotaubp Finally downgraded to 9 'Bonito' version which flashes with many ''no sig'' errors. UT will install but is totally unresponsive. (Stuck on desktop).

RE: Can't enable oem unlocking-Pixel 3a
@nero355 Yes it seems so,however "About Phone" indicates Android 11. Build #RQ3A.211001.001;IMEI #359677097963609, and the kernel version is dated Jun/4th/UTC 2021. Are the newer 3a's not supported? If not it would be good to know before buying. Also the serial # in fastboot is 98JAY157KN. Thanks for the reply.
