I finally got it! I figured out what the issue was. Now, I am just trying to get a test app to work, which so far anbox seems... odd.
But, you helped me get it up and running!
thanks!

@Ingo Thanks for the link, mate!
I am following everything step by step, but I am getting the Fastboot: command not found when I attempt to run the following...
sudo fastboot flash $PARTITIONNAME anbox-boot-$CODENAME.img
any advice?
Cheers!
Greetings all,
I searched the forum for a few days on this topic and have not found anything overly specific for my issue.
I am a new user of UBports, and wish to make the full leap in the future. However, I need some Android apps for various reasons. I am attemting to install Anbox onto my OPO, but am getting an error when I attempt to follow the install directions on anbox.io. The error says that it is a general error reading/from
`temp/tmpjkqt0e5f/pubring.gpg'
:general error
I have been trying to find anything related to a general error while installing anbox on an OPO and have come up empty.
Is there an updated howto out there or a guide on how to work around general errors?
Thanks!
Greetings!
So far, I am liking OTA-4. I installed it on my OPO knowing that some of the apps will act odd, or not work at all.
Dekko 2 appears to hang up on its initial loading screen for me. I still get email push notifications as normal, but when I go into the app proper to view the email, the app hangs on the loading screen (the blue dots keep swirling). I let the app "load" for several minutes and no progress was made.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Again, thank you for all the work everyone has made!
Greetings!
Today, I updated my OPO to 16.04 (OTA-4) Stable.
While checking everything out, I saw that there was an option for a color theme in the file manager, and I switched it to the dark theme.
Then, I got to thinking... Why idn't there an option for a system wide dark theme? Is there an option to turn the while backgrounds to dark, and I'm not just finding it?
Is this an idea that may come to light (or dark) in the future?
Thanks for all you guys do!
@unisuperbox said in How to manually upgrade from OTA-3 to OTA-4:
To be clear, redirection of 15.04/rc and devel to 16.04 does not start until next Monday, the 3rd. Until then, switching channels like that will not upgrade you to 16.04
Does this apply to all Ubuntu Touch devices, such as my OTO, or is this release on the 3rd for specific devices?
@lakotaubp I just downloaded and installed from the Dev channel, and my OPO still shows that I'm on 15.04 with (r281) after that.
Do I need to update from the desktop installer and not from the device?
I am using OPO on 15.04. If I update to a 16.04 build, will my personal data get wiped, or will everything be retained?
Greetings!
At work, I listen to podcasts. However, my new OPO Ubuntu Touch phone has a bluetooth connection issue.
I use Whitelabel MusicJogger headset. I am able to see and connect to my OPO but when I play my podcast, sound only comes out of the phone itself and not my headset.
I searched the forums but found no relatable post. Is this a known issue, or an isolated thing?
Thanks;

Is anyone of you using this "all inbox" fix and not able to delete mails?
As far as I can tell, I am able to delete emails on my OPO with this fix.
It pays to read everything, lol!
The entry form 6 months ago that does as follows,

Recent reports on telegram would suggest the last click wasn't a solution for everyone.
dekko2.dekkoproject_0.1.6_armhf.clickseems to be alot better and should be a much more reliable solution to this bug."
I installed that click and restarted Dekko 2 and it now operates as intended!!!!!!
Thank you everyone for your help, I honestly do appreciate it!!!!!!
@ziggutas said in Dekko 2 inbox issue:
@isolated-thinker I had a similar problem on my BQ Aquaris E4.5 (running 15.04 (r3) ) earlier this year and found the solution here
https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/66I opened the web page on the phone and installed the click file (or whatever it is called!) posted by Dan Chapman .
Since then I've been accessing email on three accounts with no problems.
I installed the click file and rebooted my OPO and it did not work. I also tried installing and not restarting, which did not work. I also installed and then updated Dekko from the App Store, still did not work.
I'm starting to think it's me at this point, lol!
Yes, I am on 15.04 Bacon.
Thank you for the links, and I will check them out when I have the opportunity.
I did find, tucked away, my real inbox. I had to go to, the menu with the 3 dashes, at the bottom the + at the folder, personal, inbox.
Thank you all for the help, and I will check out to thinks.
Thanks again!
@elastic Thanks for the reply.
I did a search on git hub for dekko, and variations of, and a lot of unrelated search results came up, such as usernames and the like. I also did a web search with similar results.
I hate to ask, but would you be able to provide a link to the git hub page for dekko?
Greetings!
I just recently became a part of the Ubuntu Touch family with the OnePlus One phone. Though I have only been using it for a short amount of time, I really like it!
I am trying to get my Dekko 2 email set up on my phone, and I am having a bit of an issue....
Only part of the time, Dekko is able to read just some of my mail folders, though it seems to really like reading my spam folder as that is the number one folder I am able to access. I am using my mail from gmx as my main mail provider. When I go to view the "All inboxes" option, as it is the only inbox option there seems to be, I get a blank screen. No emails, read or unread, a re displayed. Even under all of the other tabs in the "All inboxes" there are no messages.
When I go to the upper left-hand menu, I am able to view items in my Trash, spam, and the "Smart Folder" for the "Today" messages. However, still nothing in the inbox proper.
Would anyone know if I am missing a setting anywhere?
Thanks!
