@arubislander thanks, byobu looks like it would help as a workaround, but also pretty useful generally too!

Hmm, yeah that pretty much describes my issue.
Can you tell if there is there a bug report in on this if its something others experience? (I'm unsure how to check)

Terminal Nano - OSK keyboard disappears after switching apps
Hi all,
I use Terminal on my OPO to edit files on my server over SSH, mainly html web pages.
Once SSH'd to the server, I use Nano for the edits.
This allows me to make edits ok. I then swith apps to Morph to see how my page looks, and do this process back and forth a few times till I'm happy with the results.
When coming back to Terminal, the keyboard disappers. I am presented with the little circle to bring it back, which works..... most of the time. However occasionally (normally after switching between Terminal and Morph a few times) the little keyboard circle symbol does not bring the keyboard back up. I still have the Nano command bar, so can ctrl-x but once exited from Nano, I still cant recover the keyboard to log out of terminal.
If in Nano I have unsaved changes, I cant press 'y' when prompted to save the changes as I have no keyboard, so I just have to close the Terminal app. I end up with quite a few .save temporary files in my directoies as this happens every session, and is normally what kills my sessions.
Any tweaks I can do to help resolve this bug?
Cheers, Scott

RE: Dekko2 on pinephone CE can't open attachments
I've so far found zero patterns regarding file types or sizes, nor mobile data vs wifi, nor VPN or not.
Sometimes I get my file, mostly not.
Its a bit frustrating as I (edit: would like to) use my phone for email quite a lot, this coupled with the not sending emails on an equally random basis issue makes it quite unworkable.

RE: Oneplus one, bluetooth headphones.
Thanks, yes I tried closing and opening the app, thinking exactly what you confirmed, but no joy.
I have also tried different apps for audio source, same issue.
in the bluetooth settings, this headset is shown with a headset symbol against it, rather than a music smbol (this is an assumption based on other phones / car stereos), as I'd have imagined it to display.
Cheers

I get this issue randomly on my Oneplus one. It mostly fails, but sometimes works.

Oneplus one, bluetooth headphones.
Hi all,
I just tried today my BT headphones (Linklike Fly 9 ear buds with microphone / buttons in wire).
I was hoping to be able to play music through them, but it wouldn't work.
The phone does connect, but they appear as a phone headset, not a music playback device. These headphones used to work on my Android phone as both headset and headphones.
Oneplus One bacon.
Any pointers?
Cheers, Scott

RE: Dekko2 randomly occurring issues
Sorry, should have mentioned, yes, tried restarting the app, and the phone, also can't correlate the behavior. Still seems totally random, but fails way more often than it succeeds.
There is no doubt a logical reason, I just haven't seen any pattern yet. Wind direction maybe.
I use my phone a lot for email, so this is quite a bind.

Dekko2 randomly occurring issues
Hi all,
Dekko 2 seems to randomly not send emails. I get the Message Queued balloon then it just sits in my outbox, but sometimes works.
Another randomly occurring issue is Dekko 2 not always downloading attachments. Say I'm sent a .jpg, I tap on it and mostly just get the blue waiting circle, however sometimes it downloads ok. This is true for large and tiny file sizes.
I cant find a correlation to being on wifi or mobile network, or using VPN or not.
My phone is a Oneplus One. Email provider is Namecheap's service, Privativeemail.
Anyone else getting these issues?
Cheers, Scott

RE: Webber page zoom?
@AppLee thanks yeah, the way my oneplus one displays the forum, I can tap on the gear, but the menu hangs off the bottom of the screen so I can't mark as solved... bit of a pain as every thread of mine has to be solved by a moderator.
I have tried zooming the page out, but it doesn't help.

RE: Webber page zoom?
@Giiba

Webber page zoom?
Hi all,
Morph web browser allows you to set a page zoom level for specific sites, but having just set up a Webber web app for a page on my server, I can't find a way to set the page zoom level to make it fit my phone nicely.
I get a decent zoom fit in Morph, I just wanted rid of the URL bar to maximize screen space, so am trying Webber.
Thanks, Scott

Mobile data usage monitor
Hi, is there a way to keep track of mobile data usage as Android phones can do? ie, to see if you're getting close to your monthly allowance.

RE: CalDav servers for calendar app
@Capsia thank you.. yes, those are the ones I had been looking at. Good to know that Davical works well.
Other factors that would swing my choice would be ease of installation, reliability and low maintenance. Should mention I've never installed a calendar server before.
So, that's one vote for Davical so far, any more experiences?

CalDav servers for calendar app
Hi all,
looking into installing a calendar server on my Ubuntu web server to use with the native UT calendar app.
There are a few open source calendar caldav compatible servers to choose from, so to help me decide, I thought I'd ask if any are known to work well, or not so well with a UT phone's native app?

RE: Convenient VPN App
Hi, just re-visiting this, having the existing UT VPN take care of these features would be ace, save having to depend on extra apps.
from a users point of view, having the mobile data reception indicator or wifi indicator in the top bar turn green when connected via VPN successfully would be a nice way to show a secure connection rather than an extra indicator symbol cluttering up the top bar.

RE: Google Fi - Porting question from ex-googler
@rocket2nfinity I'd like to be able to use Jit.si for video conferencing, but as Morph can't access the hardware, and there's no app, it is a bit of a limitation.

RE: Google Fi - Porting question from ex-googler
@Flohack thanks, I guess it comes down to how / why we discover UT. I came to UT as I was looking to enhance privacy by removing propriety software from my life, a long and painful process (technically and socially), so had it in my mind that others using UT would just be seeking the same.
I had been waiting for the Librem 5 phone, but thought I'd try UT as a stop-gap until its finally available in a daily useable form. This is because I also like the idea of non-propriety firmware for the hardware. But for now UT is giving me an open source OS, which is a massive step in the right direction.
At home I run an Ubuntu web server, Manjaro PC, several Raspberry Pi's for various purposes / projects, OpenWRT broadband router. Only use Windows for work, as thats what we are given. I'm trying bit by bit to arrive in a private world, not supporting big corporations through snooping on me and my family.
Cheers, Scott
ps: I'm sorry for the off topic nature of this philosophical diversion!
