The MIUI image version to use is specified in the installation guide under "2. Check the correct version of MIUI", and it looks like you used the correct one. I can't explain the unusual bugs you've reported. Did you remount the system as read-write and make any changes? Did you use apt (update/upgrade/install)? I'm fine with starting a new discussion thread.

    Bluetooth audio pairing to car questions

    Thanks for the replies. Bluetooth does work, it's just a matter of whether i can get regular system sounds from UT (for example, the Clock alarm) to work while connected to Bluetooth. Getting Bluetooth phone audio to work seems to require both HFP and A2DP to be enabled. But doing so seems to force linux to try to send ALL sounds to the car, but only the phone sounds are being heard. To continue my example- when the UT Clock alarm goes off, there is no noise- neither from the phone or through the car. I realize there is the car side to consider too, which is beyond the purview of the help boards. But i was hopefull someone had some idea of how to resolve it. -Fizz

    @Fizz That is an interesting way of going about it. But I guess it works. In general though, changing ownership / permissions of system files is not recommended, so be sure to change them back to what they were when you are done editing them.

    @lduboeuf Thanks for your new project. Well personally, in normal use, I generally completely turn off cellular data and activate it when necessary. I don't know how difficult it can be to develop, but I imagine an option that automatically turns on cellular data in case of one or more open apps or web-apps using it, and automatically turns off cellular data when apps or web-apps that used cellular data are all closed...

But concerning your original question, the missing Notes app for Focal in the Open Store is a bug that is being looked into as I write this.

    @El Hello, could you please provide a bit more details. What are you trying to do? Are you trying to install UT on Redmi note 9 pro? On what host mashine are you trying to install it , is it windows or Linux? Which android 10 ROM are you using? Which UT channel did you use? What tutorial did you use? Which version of miatoll do you have, joyeuse, curtana,gram,Excalibur?

    @arubislander Yes, I sort of meant the service of a whole, having everything in one app. But to the look of it,the hostility from all made it imposible. however. I still hope for a whatsapp update. its just the UI that got messed up resently. A pretty good separate app, but only for xenial still.

    @Lakotaubp @Moem Hey, thanks for the answer. And for Moem, I was just hoping you had the answer I am running 20.04. And libertine installs a looot of things you dont want sometimes. But thats when you are a bit experimental. For example, If you want Falkon to run, and get the installation completed. You need to install kde window manager first. (I am sure there is a smarter way, but I dont know one) And when you install KDE window manager. You get a bunch of system apps like network manager and stuff. So, no terror. But it would be nice to be able to clean it up. All other apps are just in .local as .desktop. but not libertine stuff.

    @uwahl Glad you figured out a way to do what you wanted to achieve, all be it partially. This is what I meant when I said UT is a lot like 'regular' Ubuntu when viewed from the command line. Unless you want to be running services and such, more often than not, there is a way to get what you need, done.

    I know why this call error happens to a lot of users. To cut a long story short, install the standard Miui version again. Please note that it is very important to turn off all switches for Google services, location services and updates during installation. You will be asked to do this during setup, then start the device and switch on developer mode. Start the device in fastboot mode and install Ubuntu.

    You can only download Ubuntu Touch "images" inside UBports installer. And only actual versions, not previous ones.
