@joebeach Happy to hear that you have received it. I should receive it in next days. I am also a Patreonsupporter of UBports and I hope too that both projects will succeed and spread worldwide.

@elastic Thanks for the tip! I was going to ask "where's the camera?", but finally found it. Not intuitive, as you say; I was looking for an icon like a camera or lens. A closer look at the names revealed it...Megapixel :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@emphrath In Europe, software patents are not legal but in spite of this, the IPO (European Patent Office) does not hesitate to register them even if they have no effect in the European courts. It is a battle that has been going on for a long time in order not to arrive at the very harmful situation that prevails in the USA (or, for that matter, a reverse movement to start opposing it exists). More information about that on FFII (Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure) website.

At first I thought the presenter had drank too much of the Purism Kool-Aid. It seemed he was equating Linux Phones with the Librem 5. So I was pleasantly surprised to see he had also tried other Linux offerings out there, and that he had such positive things to say about them. His way of presenting is not my cup of tea, but all in all I feel it was a fair introduction for people who are new to the subject, but unlikely to try it out for themselves.

@v1mmu Hi and welcome to the UBports community. I moved your post to the Off Topic category even if it was not in the "Porting" category like many people often do. A lot of porting effort depends on the community, so you can see this post for more information: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x

I'm not sure I understand the question. Does Chrome provide fingerprint sensor integration on Windows or macOS? Do banks provide native applications on either of them? Biometric identification in what sense?

@ziggutas Yeah I'm gonna do that when I get the board, but I still have things on the phone thats important, though I thing instead of doing it that way, I'll copy the files though jump drive instead, bit easier I think! I just dont know where all the settings are, and since its on my desktop I can just get rid of some extra files that I dont need from my desktop instead.

No, it is not a one way street. You could always flash Lineage again should you wish to. You can simply not have both at the same time. But that last limitation has nothing to do with the bootloader. Also I understood that the makers are looking into providing a multi-boot solition for this phone.

@Flohack Yes, thank you. I am sure you (the team) will share any useful information with us in due course (UBports installer for this phone for example).
