Hi,

As suggested by @Fuseteam, I disabled data connection and I did a new test (still without BatterySaver app):

Wi-Fi on, data off : 38 hours of battery lifetime

Same as Wi-Fi on and data on.
It seems that the data connection is not used while Wi-Fi is on.

@Fizz Not as far as I know, but you can clear the cache folder (i wouldn't recommend it though as things may "misbehave"). The only issue I have had with getting rid off things was a build up of lg files for some reason on my Redmi Note 7, resolved by clearing the cache from booting into Recovery - back things up if you do to cover any issues. However I have never had to do it for every day maintenance.

@Fizz maybe you could fill an issue on UTTT GitLab to "add a reset all settings to default button" ?

I did find some information about Linphone. It's available on the OpenStore for Xenial but doesn't seem to be available for Focal yet.

I never had an issue with MMS on my Nexus 5 either. But when i upgraded to my Pixel 3a, which is roughly the same time as when i changed providers, the issues started.

So i have 3 potential culprits.
1: the OS (MMS was fine on Xenial, not on Focal)
2: the hardware (MMS was fine on Nexus 5, not on Pixel 3a)
3: the network (MMS fine on Virgin Canada, not on Freedom Mobile)

So the first i'm considering changing is #3.

#1: 12/24hr clock does indeed seem linked to system display language as Luksus wondered. It'd be nice to be able to change this independently, I agree. But maybe pretty minor in the scheme of things, and the folks doing development have a lot of important work going on.
I'm able to set mine to British English, which is close enough to Canadian English, and gets me a 24hr clock.

#3: It's hit and miss for me too on whether apps where I've disabled app suspension work when the phone's locked. On my Oneplus 5T when I shut the screen off, audio playing in Morph cuts out, as do voice calls over Jitsi, but Podbird keeps playing and normal phone calls work fine. Recorder keeps playing on playback mode, but will stop recording.

Well, the new sim didn't change anything in this regard. I got a crash yesterday shortly after opening Messenger- hadn't even had a chance to type anything. After a reset, it's behaved since then.

Hmmm... that's unfortunate. Though under Xenial (on my Nexus 5), i at least received a notification error. So i knew someone tried to send me something.

The problem now is i don't even get an error. So I won't ever know that a group message was ever attempted. And i can't ask the sender to send individually if i don't know that they've tried to send me something.

So this is a bit of a pickle... Hmmmm.

@Fizz That is an interesting way of going about it. But I guess it works.

In general though, changing ownership / permissions of system files is not recommended, so be sure to change them back to what they were when you are done editing them.

Thanks for the replies. Bluetooth does work, it's just a matter of whether i can get regular system sounds from UT (for example, the Clock alarm) to work while connected to Bluetooth.

Getting Bluetooth phone audio to work seems to require both HFP and A2DP to be enabled. But doing so seems to force linux to try to send ALL sounds to the car, but only the phone sounds are being heard. To continue my example- when the UT Clock alarm goes off, there is no noise- neither from the phone or through the car.

I realize there is the car side to consider too, which is beyond the purview of the help boards. 🙂 But i was hopefull someone had some idea of how to resolve it.

@Fizz Any such app would eat away at your battery life... not sure you'd be happy or better off with that.

It's the reporting process that is currently broken. Glad to hear you got it installed and are now up and running!

@Fizz No, but a phone will never be a fully secure device as it will always ping your position from a cell phone mast or WiFi hotspot. Likewise to install UT the boot loader needs to be unlocked so there is an issue there too. The great thing about UT is that Google, Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi etc. are not scraping your data - no one is with UT.
