One small suggestion, which I make not out of cynicism but simply because I think overselling is a problem when people are enthusiastic about a project (as we rightfully are): maybe leave off the verbiage about a "growing list of devices" until the list actually grows? So far as I recall, only one community port has ever appeared, all the Halium ports have some way to go, and the non-Halium devices are in early days yet, so hasn't it actually been a couple of years since the list grew?

@Hsabun hi, no, Huawei is not looking for an alternative OS, they're developing one of their own. Also this topic has been discussed deeply already. Please see https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2751/ubuntu-on-huawei-devices P.D. I'm locking this thread. Thank you for your understanding

@lipkowski-be maybe get in contact with @wayneoutthere. If I got him right he is about to write a tutorial that will also cover how to set up dekko. If you're interested you can join Dekkos telegram group also (https://t.me/DekkoApp).

I refer once again to what has already been stated by Florian [Forwarded from Florian Leeber] I am fully against any cooperation with Huawei sorry to say. As I said yesterday in the supergroup: No we wont ask for this. Huawei is in a very political discussion and the foundation needs to stay neutral. We will not endorse, recommend any or cooperate with companies that are under the impression of political influence. I think that really puts an end to this thread so am going to lock it. There is always Off Topic if needed.

@Flohack exactly. Open Source projects don't have to sell. The collective energy of the community determines the direction of the project. As the energy is continuesly changing and the members of the community have different interests over time, the shared story of the open project is also fluïd and continously adapting to its community dynamics. Its important that the current project story is told so the community is keeping itself vital and productive.

@hummlbach That sounds like a good idea to me. There's the hackathon coming up in Jan at the shackspace. I know everyone attending will be busy on the Telegram app, but it would be a good opportunity to leave a few stickers and whatever about and create some noise. I've sent a link to this post to marketing so lets see what can sorted for then.

We can for tax reasons not sell stuff on our own private entities. We will have this as soon as we are a foundation though.

@3arn0wl said in Making Ubuntu Touch an easy choice: I'm still interested, @joe, but you have to get the editing process sorted out. Any suggestions? Editing is usually not a problem. We have lots of people who can review and edit. It's just the writing/creating part that doesn't seem to happen very easily. We can use pad.ubports.com , or any tool to write something, then you can send it to the marketing group, and we will edit and post etc. If we can get enough people to form more of a team around writing, then we will put them all together. @lionelb has been doing most of it on his own in the past.
