@gpatel-fr I seemed to see that at the end of booting the smartphone (before I entered the pin code) when switching to stable, the screen showed the correct time (H) and very quickly went to H-2.

PS: Now I use a skript (systemctl --user stop greenline.service) and use it with a Desktop link. This works perfectly for my WhatsApp usage. This way, I can stop all WhatsApp data usage completely if I don’t need Greenline for a few days.

@wally I have read more carefully your first post and I think we are stuck in the same step. At first I undertood you did not receive the SMS for linking the phone with the Xiaomi account. With all I have read lately I think I got the big picture. I phoned Xiaomi support and I heard them typing looking for a generic and unrelated answer that I had already found by myself. Not a very high service standard. For the SIM activation, MiAccount app sends a SMS. I checked with my carrier that esch try a SMS is sent (and of course, charged), alternatively, to a local mobile number and a local landline. I phoned these numbers and the former does not exist and the latter is disconnected or out of reach. I mailed Xiaomi asking about these numbers. I presume they will say that I must update MIUI, but I am reticent in case it makes more difficult to unlock the bootloader. If they do not provide another way or phone number to send manually the SMS, I think I will have no other option than to update hoping that the correct phone numbers are also updated.

Apparently @kugiigi was right in his assumption that the notch hack filled up / . Reflashing freed 52 MB in / . That turned out to be sufficient to install Kugi's Ambot Installer which is a great tool! Everything's fine and I'm happy with the result. Thanks to everyone!

@domubpkm to handle imported files differently in messaging app, would be a task to solve there. tedit can only hand over a file to messaging app. What that does with the file is defined there. tedit has no control over that. I added the share option to read only mode page too. I simply didn't think of that yet. @MrT10001 hey, i was able to unlock my bootloader i found a guide on XDA to edit my registories on windows regarding USB ports. Usb3fix.txt FOR ANYONE READING THIS. PLEASE SAVE THOSE LINE IN A TEXT FILE AND CHANGE THE EXTENSION TO .bat AND THEN RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATION. then i could run the unlock.cmd file and it ran flowlessly. thank you for your help.

@tr4in33 - unfortunately, it is very unlikely any Unihertz product will ever get a decently functioning port for Ubuntu Touch, because that company is absolutely horrible (and in fact in violation of the licensing) for ever posting the kernel source for its devices. Best regarfs, Steve Berson

@projectmoon As I understand it apps work like that currently in UT? You can use UT Tweak Tool to have apps ignore this. Experiments you mention may vary from device to device based on the silicon which is fine if your OS is only targeted to one processor for example.
