I left out requirement for WiFi calling (if a phone is to be 'daily driver'), in previous posts. I use WiFi more than cellular (basement office & workshop, in rural area = terrible cell reception). I read that VoLTE functionality shares code with WiFi calling, so the VoLTE functionality is required. Also looked into Linphone (failed to install native, due to 64 bit not available, also could not find a version to install via Libertine). The UT old revision device pages for Nord N10 & Volla Phone do NOT mention WiFi calling in the main chart of Supported Features, and also NOT listed as 'Unsupported' below that - just plain missing ! On the bright side, wireless external monitor works OK on the Pixel 3A XL, and is listed as functional on the Nord N10, but as NOT functional on the Volla. (at least on old releases page). So, if trying for a portable office, Nord N10 appears to be the better choice ! Maybe time to create a spreadsheet comparing status of features across UT supported models... Does anyone know if a summary (all devices) status chart exists ?

Thank everyone for their thoughts. I have not changed network providers recently or done anything else which would seem to stand out. No new app installs from the store or anything. I'll keep looking for a way to troubleshoot this and report back if it is found.

@robales I guess you could look here at what is merged for the particular daily you are on. Everything older than a day is quite probably in the newest image. It can vary if day old merges are also included, depending on when you are checking and when the image was built. (In the example every merge not related to 24.04-1 is filtered out.)

@RapidRotator while I'm no expert, I am taking a fleeting interest in these questions currently, and I can point you to an ooooold doc emerging from the mist of times: https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/questing/man2/lomiri-location-service.2.html you'll notice that at some pre-historical point, the lomiri location service was written to allow to inject geoclue data into location info provided to applications. Is it still the case now, I have no idea. Looking at the service daemon command line (using ps) it's clear that it is not configured to do so currently. I don't have the energy to try to hack the service to change the startup parameters accordingly - my hopes that it would just work are very low (if it was so easy, why would the UT devs not have done it already ?)

@Moktrull Yeah you need to download the SP Flash Tool and an Android 9 image for your device: https://drive.usercontent.google.com/download?id=18_vFVhQia5Zkedjy9Vz05x_wlNrN-sxe&export=download&authuser=0. This works for me (x606f). I had some issues using SP Flash Tool on Linux, so I recommend downloading the MTK drivers for Windows and flashing from Windows instead. Then flash that Android 9 image using SP Flash Tool. Unselect preload inside SP Flash Tool, then flash. After verifying in Settings that it’s Android 9, enter fastboot mode. Next, download the devel-flashable artifacts from here: https://gitlab.com/yassinrezai71/lenovo-x606/-/jobs/12500903564/artifacts/download Unzip it. After unzipping, flash the boot image: fastboot flash boot out/boot.img (or wherever the boot.img is located). Then format userdata: fastboot format:ext4 userdata After that, flash the Ubuntu image: fastboot flash system out/ubuntu.img Finally, reboot: fastboot reboot Wait until the device boots into Ubuntu Touch.

I've tried to access the shell when the phone freezed, but It does not reply. Honestly the frequency of freezes is quite alarming, it almost never happened before 24.04.1.1 .
