@yuu-ä3 System settings offered the upgrade and unwisely I applied it only to find the phone more-or-less bricked. After a few false starts (see my posts) I was able to restore 20.04. My advice: DON'T TOUCH 24.04 on OP6 or 6T until there is an announcement about the port (Unless you are able to contribute to the porting work)

It really does seem to be a power issue. Do you have other phones that can output to a display? You can test that. Am I right that you also use a portable monitor? Even with a separate power supply to it and the dock, the flicker still happens? In my experience, sometimes the sequence of connecting the ports may change the behavior or docks and such. I didn't experience the same issue of flickering but I had some other strange behavior with my adapter when connecting the power cable. The same with my portable monitor. I need to connect my phone first then the power to the monitor so that touch would work, otherwise, only the display output works but not the external touch input.

@deadthousand You clearly got it boot loader unlocked since you are running UT on it. If it is network locked, and you bought it, you can request to network unlock it. There is also a way to network unlock it by removing a file in the HAL, but that requires hacking skills. See xda-developers for that.

Logging into the forum doesn’t block shop access, but if the shop says “wrong password”, it’s usually an account sync or password issue. Try a password reset first.

How is the Installer progressing to work with Apple Silicon (i.e. M1, M2,M3,M4 and now M5 CPU's) based PC's and Laptops? There are still questions (in one of the Telegram channels) on why devices are not working on Noble when it is available to download on the installer before soft bricking the device. Could Noble be removed from these devices installer until it is resolved?

@gpatel-fr Well i turned the phone off all night and this morning the battery showed up in the bar and it can access the settings.. i d turned the phone off multiple times yesterday but it hadn't helped.. i ll just consider this some mystery.. thanks for the support anyways

I completely understand the huge impact. It is one of those things engineers call "should have thought about that earlier"... The positive note from this is that at least it has been brought up (again aparently), to be searchable in the forum for others who dwell upon investing in a Fairphone (because older USB3 devices are hard to find).

The video about openHarmony is intriguing given the resources of the organisations behind it. I have been interested by the one about push notifications, apparently more ready for prime time that I was thinking. It seems that the only real solution for Linux clients is the kde one, that would seem a good fit for UT since it uses QT.

Hello, I found out why it was not displaying the version to be installed. You have to click on "install" in order to see the version getting installed, then you select that and click "OK" to start the installation. But as a cautious person, not willing to de facto factory reset the device, I hesitated. Nowhere was it mentioned that there would be another page, where further settings could be made. I feel kind of silly for this, but at the same time it seems like an oversight in the Installer, that you cannot see how many option pages there will be before you actually commit on installing anything.

I tried to enter command in the terminal: sudo snap install libreoffice. It installed. This version of LibreOffice seems to work better than the libertine version I described above. Some dialogs end up partially outside the monitor in desktop mode, but it is indeed usable.
