Thanks a lot.
The installation went without a hitch.
The camera works much better than in 20.04.
voLTE is still fully functional on my Redmi Note 9 Pro in Belgium with Orange.
There's still the known problem that prevents Bluetooth pairing with the car.
As for the rest, I'm happy to adopt it, the OS is superb!

RE: This week in development (week 52 2024)
Hello.
I'm trying the 24.04 (r85) on my Redmi Note 9 Pro.
I had an issue while configuring the device.
I have plugged a usb keyboard and after using the top tool bar to change the keyboard layout to azerty belgium.
The system parameter has crashed after i choose this keyboard.
After this, i can't launch system parameters nor any app on the phone (terminal, camera, ...).
The screen pop up and close just after.
Wondering how to look at the log files... -

RE: Installation guide Redmi Note 9S
@wally
The recommended is the joyeuse_global_images_V12.0.3.0
but i have always used joyeuse_global_images_V12.0.1.0 and had no problem with this one (for Focal or Noble)
It's better, while you are in android, to test and activate all the stuff wifi bluetooth voLTE gps etc... -
RE: Bluetooth pairing for Noble
Hello.
I'm replying to myself: it seems that the ticket is still open and ultimately still being processed.

RE: Noble-based devel images now available on most devices with 20.04 devel image
@nunesfl
Yes, the size on a partition is too small.
You 'll have to add argument to the installer command.:
./ubports-installer_0.10.0_linux_x86_64.AppImage -f ./miatoll.yml
and the miatoll.yml can be downloaded here:
https://github.com/ubports/installer-configs/tree/fd9802a07cf67d489a78331af3426c416c677f23/v2/devicesAnd check the three boxes during install
And, also, the miatoll.yml have to be located in the same folder as the installer (not sure it's necessary but...) -
RE: Can NOT install UT Redmi note 9 pro "exit code 256"
@smobilesoft
Well...
I have the same phone.
I am not a porter and I apologize to them (or invite them to correct me) for the shortcuts used.
I have unlocked it, install the needed ROM to be compatible with UT port.
The UT port interacts with an abstraction layer called Halium.
There is a version of Halium for each version of Android 9, 10, 11, 12, etc.
Halium interacts with the low-level Android drivers that are left in place when UT is installed and Android is replaced.
The port therefore expects to have very specific drivers (those of the recommended version of Android).
Each ROM contains a number of partitions that are either left in place, replaced, or modified.
Altering these partitions (or using a non-compliant ROM that has other partitions) can therefore result in a system that cannot receive UT or anything else at all.
You can experiment, and it may be beneficial to you and to others who are in the same situation or not.
When the device is unlocked and the ROM joyeuse_global_images_V12.0.3.0.QJZMIXM is in place, installer can resize the needed partitions via

Not enough space in rootfs
Hello.
Listening to Alfred yesterday during the Q&A (very interesting, as was his conference on UT, which is a must-see), I wondered why it wouldn't be possible to free up space by modifying the UT installation process.
First, install the OS without any applications, and then, on first boot, download the applications that are currently included in the OS and install them in the user space.
This would save space and solve the strange behaviour encountered when attempting to uninstall these applications.
