@BarrickBeau I do not know much about Libertine, but libqt5gui5t64 is mentioned in a recent merge request, so this will maybe be fixed with: https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/libertine/-/merge_requests/147 So as an end user, you will probably have to wait for the next system update.

@March This phone is still running Xenial. It looks like you won't be able to have a pleasant UT experience with it. Your best bet is to go for a smartphone that is more up to date https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/

@emailforfor just for the record, BQ was acquired by a Vietnamese company (Vingroup) at the end of last year. Probably that's a big reason why they don't care about old products anymore. This was the official PR note: https://www.bq.com/en/pr-vingroup

The only device I used and I still use it heavily as a daily driver is the Pro 5 and I recommend it with all my heart!

In 2017 I have deleted the fluendo decoder on Nexus 4, M10 FHD and E5. It was 15.04 system. (and installed gst-ugly plugins) All devices sounds with mp3-files much better! For me... FLAC or ogg sounds very good without any change. Same effect on desktop machine... It is not a UT specific problem... I prefer classical music and use very good headphones... Well, using an old Nokia N900 (Linux Debian system...), there is very fine sound with mp3-files out of the box...

@stefwe Thank you. It's a good idea to take the automatic deleting by GMX. I will test it. But manually it's not possible, isn't it?

Ah, I see. That worked for me, thanks! You have to keep the exact same naming convention as the file you replace. See what you mean by the file names being messed up now, but it's definitely a step forward. Thanks for the tip! Now if only Bluetooth could get sorted out...

@htc_tattoo On FP2 webbrowser still leads to system crash (less with firmware updated, but nonetheless) @micnd90 I had the exact same behaviour on a (very) old sony xperia sp; it's called a "battery drop" - are you positive it came with UT ? I experienced this on android myself

If I rotate the phone to landscape leftwise or rightwise -- both come out fine. However, it's only the rightwise rotated landscape video that was upsidedown when re-encoded from .mp4 to .mkv. Solved!

Well did you remember to "sudo anbox-tool disable sudo mount -o rw,remount /" like in the script?(and reverse afterwards) I never got opengapps to work but I think to edit the system I ended up copying the android.img to another directory, running unsquashfs on it, modifying it, resquashing it (mksquashfs) and then overwrite the original image.

I recently acquired a OPO, it came with lineage on it, I did not check the version. i turned it on, went through lineage initial setup so that i could enable developer mode in settings, then proceeded to install UT edge channel using the windows installer without any problems. Its not my daily phone, but i turn it on every once in a while to test some things out and it works great.

If you want to run arbitrary python CLI tools, it's best to do so using a Libertine container. See Shell Access in documentation for more info. You should use the libertine-launch form to get a shell as phablet user for normal use, and use libertine-container-manager to install packages, as sudo will not work or be usable (and installing it can break things).
