    Hi Zaito, so sorry for delay, I have only just logged on in ages. I tested it on GS5 only - installed UT 24.04 because it was the only way to make phonecalls when 3g packed up. Nothing I did enabled Waydroid to persist. Meaning that if waydroid was closed for any reason, you couldn't reboot it without a completely fresh installation. This rectified in June with a new UT update. Everything works well in both UT and Waydroid with one exception; there is no clipboard on waydroid. Which means you cannot copy or paste anything in any circumstances. If I need waydroid copy facilities I have to use another phone running UT20.04. Hope all is well.

    @cjengle Maybe something went wrong with your manipulations. Don't know where... Best thing is to reinstall UT without wipe your data. Then start again to remove Anbox as I described above.

    Your expectations are not matching the reality I am afraid... I think you are better off with one of the following options : Replace the screen yourself and keep the repaircosts low that way. Look for another OS to run on the phone like for example PostmarketOS/Mobian/etc.

Did the version of the Qualcomm Tool you posted did that for you too ??

    @lsitongia OK that is some progress, with the PRODATA for Internet APN entry. There are some MMS patches getting made as we speak, they are being targeted for OTA-21. Again, the ofono 28 linked above for a "combined APN" (for "Internet + MMS") isn't quite ready but will further improve things when it gets in: I am currently using it and it works well (I can get MMS on 3G now, couldn't before with separate APN for MMS and Internet), but it will reset APN entries often (so I needed to edit the "defaults" so when they are deleted and reset they are still correct) so there are some bugs / blockers. Defaults come from /usr/share/mobile-broadband-provider-info/serviceproviders.xml

    @yamanobe You always need to prepare the phone since every phone is different when it comes to unlocking for example! Also : No Developer Mode = No ADB either!

    @applee I agree with the things you are saying, except for the first part : Learning to fix your car for example is something totally different than beeing a developer! But now that you mention it : I am actually considering having another go at it somewhere in the future... I tried in the past and horribly failed! :grinning_squinting_face:

    @jezek If the information is any help I used 0.9 MB in six hours (= 3.6 MB per day) on a completely idle Nexus 5 today.

    @luksus @ubportsuser I'm a big fan of the UT Tweaks Tool, it's very handy. I've just been trying to find a way to execute scripts and keep them running without having to keep the terminal open.

    @applee I am just trying to help him! I happen to know a lot of people who have been using their OS in 32-bit mode while there was totally no reason at all to do so! And then I am talking about 12 year old laptops with processors like the i3 350M/370M and so on.....

    For some reason, I had to reflash my smartphone with the wipe option and it solved the issue. It was a problem of my Volla.

    @hihignoki Also, AFAIK no port exists for Windows phones... There no existing procedure. Android is based on Linux so we can use the open source part of android and build around it. For windows the journey would be long and difficult I guess. So if you don't know where to start, I'd say that you will probably not be able to do it...
