You can buy an "unlocked" phone, but all that means is it is not SIM locked.
The SONY screens are really nice, but this annoyance with the bootloader has put me off.
I don't get it : Sony phones are THE phones for Jolla Sailfish and if you stick to those models then unlocking the bootloader in order to flash Ubuntu Touch shouldn't be an issue ?!
