    The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined. Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.

    In case anyone finds this in 2026 and beyond: NONE OF THIS IS NECESSARY SINCE FOCAL, WAYDROID COMES PREINSTALLED, YOU JUST NEED TO INITIALIZE IT Would be nice if the post was deleted / edited though as people are still finding and trying to follow it and others like it.

    @supaiku The wifi issue from the other day was a hang over from devel issue a few days ago so that has been cleared up. Also updated both OP5 using normal update method and both restarted as expected. So I would try installing RC over a wifi connection then stay there or move to devel depending on the risk level you want. If that does not work use the installer without the wipe option ticked.

    Mint does support 2G calling, I use it daily on my 3aXL. There may be a subtle issue with your APN settings, or perhaps it could be area related. I recommend joining the UBports [North America Carrier Issues] teleports group. This group has been very good at resolving these problems.

    At first I tried by terminal the dépendencies but it was the os. Even Gearboy color cant use of the controller option it has. Or it can be possible somehow?

    @Hugehead Someone is working on it and you can probably see its progress if you look for it on Gitlab. It will come soon, don't worry I have my own hack that may be better than the notch hack. You can actually adjust the margins for the rounded corners and notch/punchhole however it's a much bigger hack that includes a lot more so it's not easy to recommend. If you're willing to take the risk, you can PM me on telegram

    @MrT10001 Thanks, I updated it successfully. My problem with flashing UT was due to another problem actually, I didn't repartition the phone correctly (after a LineageOS installation), but now it's okay.

    @tera thank you for your answer! ...what I tried: sudo mount -rw -t vfat /dev/sda /media/myfolder ...and after sucessfully mounting sudo chmod -v -R 777 /media/myfolder ...all folders/ files in /media/myfolder were shown (in terminal!) as being changed from rwx rx rx ---> to rwx rwx rwx. So, full of hope, I opened my phone's filemanager and tried to change a file's name in /media/myfolder... ...but neither adding a file nor changing its name was accepted by the system...no write access! Also, of course, the contents of files couldn't be changed by e.g. Seabass2-app. In spite of the permission changes signaled by the terminal, the files on the SD-card obviously remained unchanged. Had no success also when trying a mount-folder in /home/phablet/myfolder... The files on the SD card were written by myself with the "external storage"-app on the same phone. So I should be the owner/ root of the files... What's wrong with my trials?

    @StephPTi Well, I did not use Android extensively, only for some minor looking around (it is awful :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: ), but I did not notice anything wrong with the button or the system... The device came with Android 11, I downgraded to Android 10 using the image: surya_global_images_V12.0.9.0.QJGMIXM_20210508.0000.00_10.0_global ...and using the attached script 'flash_all.sh'. I'm thinking if there is a way to re-image it back to Android now? To check, if the button worked ok? (I never re-imaged UBports phone back to Android before, so not sure about the implications...)
