    @freddo I see that files on system-image.ubports.com are stored with digital signatures, so, the situation is better here, but still requires implementing mechanism of choosing mirrors in installer software. I'll take a look at that soon. Thanks

The MIUI image version to use is specified in the installation guide under "2. Check the correct version of MIUI", and it looks like you used the correct one. I can't explain the unusual bugs you've reported. Did you remount the system as read-write and make any changes? Did you use apt (update/upgrade/install)? I'm fine with starting a new discussion thread.

    @Charly that's nothing with photo app or anything, something works, but certain apps. it is vfat, i'd happily changevthst, but vfat is default you know

    @Pingu It works for me (on Noble), but I had to fiddle around a bit... It wasn't detected by default, but by going into the F10 boot options on the PC I tested and unmounting the ISO then reactivating it, I was able to boot the PC from the phone. Check how your BIOS is configured too.

    Fresh reinstall of Openstore failed

    @stanwood ...finally it was possible to get back openstore-app without re-installing via UT-installer... Looking into the log file of /opt/click.ubuntu.com/.click showed that openstore should be installed following my earlier attempts - although the app being invisible for me... So with dir command I found some files openstore* in /opt/click.ubuntu.com/.click/users/@gcinuse and /opt/click.ubuntu.com/.click/users/phablet which were invisible in filemanager-app althought show hidden files swich ticked. The files were removed with sudo rm -rf command, controlling the result with dir command. Before attempting to do a complete reinstall I did a rebooting (@Ian @iduboeuf, we discussed a similar problem with hidden files recently...) and - tadaaa - openstore-app was back again. Thank you a lot to all contributors!! I will switch the post to solved state. By the way, how can you hide files making them invisible for the filemanager

    @evilgenius do you have a waydroid app-icon in the apps-drawer? You should try to start waydroid using that app. To make sure, everything is set up correctly before starting the app, execute in the terminal: sudo systemctl restart waydroid-container.service Maybe have a look, if container was startet successfully: sudo systemctl status waydroid-container.service Then launch the app.

    @gpatel-fr Vndk deprecation happens in Android 15, not 14 - unless Halium 14 means Android 15 ? I think the only thing UT has to do with VNDK is mount the correct partitions to be read by the android container, which handles the rest. Ask in the porting group for more detail, there are already some short discussions around it. to check the vndk version, it's necessary to enable debug mode on the phone, connect a computer through usb and use adb You can install an app called Treble Info from F-Droid.

    @fihex123 Please follow the steps for the installation as descripted by arubislander. You could also take a look at this step by step description: https://forums.ubports.com/post/43884 If you have no success, try a different USB cable and a different USB port. If you are using the Windows Installer, you could also check if it works better under Linux. Sometimes the installation does not work the first time.

    @MrT10001 Thank you for your tip. I changed for two days to the 24.04-1x Daily and it updated automatically to the stable version, now it works like a charm, no more flickering. It seems like the YouTube app has a heavy bug. At this point, I really think that now the time is come to provide all the developers with a reliable device farm. Thanks UT for the magic! Gabriel
