@webou Hi, I moved your question to the Off Topic section of the forum. https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x You can try to port Ubuntu Touch yourself, some without technical knowledge managed to do it with some efforts. You can check there if you're interested by the adventure: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps You'll find some help here on the forum or on Telegram.

@Tellina Wireless display/miracast in general are only advisable for media consumption and not for interactive things like using KB/mouse or gamepads for games. Currently, this technology isn't that good yet for those use cases. Personally, I don't really like using wireless display because I mostly have bad experience with it in any device I tried (Android, Windows, etc.). Regarding the background of your question, do you intend to develop apps for UT? I don't see a problem testing your apps on tiny device which they are will actually be running on. Or do you intend to develop apps directly on your phone instead of your desktop?

@Nathan123 Technically you can, but if you do so, you'll have to do it again after the next OTA. But there are "drivers" that can be seen as blobs ; those are provided by the manufacturer and cannot be changed because are tied with the hardware. Note: If you're thinking about fixing your wifi problem like this, I think it won't work. You problem is probably hardware related given that other OPO users don't have the same behavior. Maybe it is a bad memory sector and flashing UT again can fix it, but I think you already tried that and it didn't help.

I remember that someone was working on support for the FP3 but all information was in the Halium Telegram group. Does anyone know if things are still going on (I left Telegram for good and don't intend to return)?

Inglese: You are absolutely right. And I hope that one day no one will make a choice of this type mandatory. I also use the broswer to solve the problem, where it is possible. But that's not always possible. I wanted to point out that there is a usability problem. It is desirable that not only banks, but also companies that provide digital identity, provide apps for UT. For the moment, however, I believe that a well-optimized Anbox is the middle solution to bring those who have uncertainties closer to to more users. Italiano: Hai pienamente ragione.

@Lakotaubp As far as i understand, almost any phone with GIS support and comes with Android 9 (But not uptated to this version) can run UBPorts with appopriate patches easily. This is great news:grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

For those who want to use webber on the DEV channel at the moment (except Pinphone), ONLY version 0.4.0 works on most phones i think. The download link is the following: https://github.com/timsueberkrueb/webber/releases/download/v0.4.0/webber.timsueberkrueb_0.4.0_armhf.click

Mozilla Location Service [image: mls-logo.png] Already used in UT?: Not yet What is required: The most popular way to contribute to the project is downloading Firefox for Android or or through Mozilla Stumbler for Android Registration: not needed. Description: The Mozilla Location Service (MLS) is an open service, which lets devices determine their location based on network infrastructure like Bluetooth beacons, cell towers and WiFi access points. This network based location service complements satellite based navigation systems like A-GPS. This open service relies on a community of contributors, ranging from individuals collecting data, developers using and innovating on top of the service to organizations sharing information about their infrastructure. How to contribute: You can contribute by launching the client in android with location and with bluethooth/wifi/mobile data services on (Warning! this could lead to privacy issues, high battery consumption...the use of data is very low and should not entail high costs, but in the case the upload can be carried out once covered by the wifi network) Get Help: In client instructions

Sorry this is my fault got distracted and forgot to add the explanation about porting devices from here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x which puts this in the Off Topic section and finish of the post. Anyway as @AppLee please do not repeat post the same question. So in this case to stop more confusion we will let things remain as they are with this post for now.
