Also, Huawei and Honor devices are generally locked down by Huawei, I doubt you will find ways to root it, and then have all necessary sources. Is there a LineageOS version for your device?

@dobey Thanks for the advice, I will consider it. I only hope that there would be now hardware issues originating from the phone design itself. I guess I'll find that at the end of this month and see to which extend could PinePhone be used as a daily driver.

@zzarr Yes, some apps work on UT within Libertine (The Gimp, LibreOffice, ...) but they UX is not made for mobile and touchscreen, so it's not a good experience IMHO. It's also often slow and not without bugs. So yes it is possible, but not something one would be using on a daily basis, think of it as a failsafe is case of need. Dual booting is not possible because no BSL exist as far as I know. And GSI devices are work in progress so we don't really know until we can see something real. Kind of the same thing about the outcome one can expect in porting...

And Unity 7 is now fixed for Ubuntu 20.04 if you'd still prefer the Ubuntu Touch look and feel. It is lighter and snappier than gnome. I have a Thinkpad X1 tablet and can confirm all works including pen. I also have a Chuwi hi10 air. All works (except camera on one version-gc2355 no driver) but it does take work to patch it. I have read from multiple sources the Chuwi Hi10 X works out of the box, camera and all with Ubuntu.

If you have ever moved over 400 repositories, while maintaining all the CI hooks, build triggers and stuff you know what it is all about. Also, both platforms have different features that we utilize, and so for now you have: Core Apps moving to Gitlab Porting and Non-Android hardware on Gitlab everything else on Github I think thats easy

Just a quick update on this as of now this port does not fully intergrate with our systems. Update support are not working and it is an open issue at present as to the Kernel needing future patches. So have fun with it and enjoy but be careful.

@bharadwajgoutam5 So it's not supported. If you have the will to try and port it yourself, read the threads in the porting category. Else hope for someone able and willing to give it a try.

I implemented a constant change of macaddress to Kali Linux by adding lines to the file located in /etc/NetworcManager/NetworkManager.conf [image: 1592772191463-mac.png] I suppose that in the ubut touch you can do the same thing. With each reboot, the poppy address changes to random, this will protect you from snooping

Hence the usefulness of having Anbox that can run as well as possible some essential applications. Since Volla wants an anbox that is as functional as possible, this should / could be beneficial to other phones. Let's hope so!
