@chdslv that question was answered in https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1958/n5-battery-usage-in-ut-and-in-android too.
As this thread is going nowhere, I'm locking it as well.
@chdslv As I said yesterday. This topic has been done to death in the other nexus 5 battery thread. Re posting the same or similar info in another thead helps no one.
The battery issues are well known and comparing them in UT to a different system does nothing to move any issue forward.
Please lets leave it there unless someone has a proved workable solution way forward.
@mwstar0s This is the list of currently supported devices https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ So yes you would have to compile with Halium. I have no knowledge of the device so whether its worth it or not I have no idea that would be upto you. Also please read this link https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x
This is closer to "Ubuntu for Android" than Ubuntu Touch. U for A was demoed at shows, then abandoned before UT was even started.
It is less ambitious, but might prove to Samsung whether there's an untapped market of sufficient size to be exploited.
