@brenno.almeida said: @projectmoon @amaurydbz we just got the patches released in original Futify. Would you mind checking if the updated store version works for you? Thanks I'm still logged in to regular Futify from long ago. I played a song this morning and it worked. But then I did a search for a playlist, and played it. But it would go through each song for 2 seconds, without actually buffering or playing it.

@linl OK, it seems there are problems, meaning restrictions from maybe your country (or maybe USA, or both, I don't know where the download servers are hosted), that can prevent installer to download properly. Another topic is already opened about this problem. https://forums.ubports.com/topic/12174/mirrors-for-users-in-russia/21?page=2 I'll merge yours with it. Please be patient, the issue is already known, but UBPorts team don't have much ressources (in any kind) to react like gafams can (but may not), and this may need a new version of installer, servers, mirrors, or whatever. Feel free to read thread and continue here, and maybe go to the russian telegram UBPorts help channel mentioned in previous post.

@RJDan said: It would be good if these pledges could be 'cashed out' by you without actually turning into money just yet. I guess a lot like virtual currency. If people could donate these pledges for apps they use or projects they support. The projects/apps could then exchange this currency within the community as a way of paying for the time of developer etc. Users can use the currency to keep tabs on the benefit they get from the community efforts ... and eventually put money to 'buy out' any pledges. Sounds a bit like crypto .... But less cryptic. The problem is that what a developer needs in most cases, to invest more of his time to open-source, is not another app/opensource project, but to have to eat, have a shelter, have some clothes, participate to certain social events, possibly travel, ect.... And weather we want it or not, in this world it currently requires money. I would like a way to keep tabs on how much I 'should' pay for the effort of the developers. I'm currently making a video to explain more the concept. In fund-my-app you should not think in terms of how much I 'should' pay for the effort of the developers. But rather you should think in terms of how much I'm willing to give if this feature is done. Because keep in mind that even if you do a pledge of 5 euros for a feature, maybe a lot of other people will also make a pledge for this feature ( this is crowd funding ). And on top of that, the developer then is the one who will chose if the total amount is enough to motivate them to work on this feature or not. Also different features can be in competition, and then it's a "vote with your wallet" concept, in the sense that the feature with more pledge will probably be worked on with higher priority than the feature with less pledge.

@dole583 The WireGuard app works on my Pixel 3a. You can also follow these instructions. All you need is a working .conf file. Instructions from the UBports Forum Since you're familiar with computer science, setting up WireGuard VPN on the UT shouldn't be a problem for you. With the Pixel 3a and WireGuard, I have full control over my home network (OpenWrt, WireGuard VPN, Pihole, NextCloud....) There are also some fantastic apps with NextCloud support in the OpenStore.

@sm-xcx I just updated from 16.04 to 24.04 today. The one thing that sticks out to me is that it shows zero signal strength for both VOLTE signal and Wi-Fi signal. As soon as I make a phone call some signal strength appears (but I think it is switching to 2G). Wi-Fi is odd too: it might show zero signal strength, but when I go to Wi-Fi settings and choose my home Wi-Fi network, the signal strength comes back. It is enough for me to wonder if it is using Wi-Fi, so I plugged in an ethernet adapter before accessing the internet. There was also a bit of sluggishness. I noticed it earlier when I went to System Settings, then System Information, then Check for Updates, then tried to return to System Settings, and the settings just froze. However, on subsequent tries it is working normally.
