Not sure if it's a coincidence but battery life seems really to have taken a hit on this RC! I'm on Oneplus 5t.

@stanwood Thank you, realised I had put it in the wrong place.

@Eric-H The same as on Linux. It just worked on my Windows 11 PC. There are times when the installer failed to download files which using a VPN on the PC sorted out, but this device hasn't caused me any bother to install to.

@Futura Oh I see. That's the Noble image (Ubuntu 24.04). I guess it's more stable or less buggy than focal

@MrT10001 Yeah, that didn't solve the issue. But like I said: upgrading to OTA-10 did. And to 24.04 too, btw.

If I can put a warning in here, please be careful putting a custom boot screen on a device, it can lead to a brick. I have done this on old Motorola phones and for the most part it worked, however when it didn't it hosed the fastboot menu and didn't boot, so I had to use other methods to recover.

I went maybe just over a weak with no updates so I thought there was an issue. Ill wait a bit longer to see. Thanks for the reply!

@PhAndersson Hello, it happens to me now, and it also happened with previous OTAs, that the phone uses only the earpiece instead of the speaker for ringing, so the ringtone is silent. It was not possible to set it up, but restarting the device helps. I have a feeling that this happens after connecting the speaker via Bluetooth (hands-free in the car).

Thinking about it, I guess this is more an issue for a Waydroid forum. But before I refer it elsewhere, I'd just like to ask can anyone confirm that they have a working internet connection in Waydroid on their Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1? On my device I can very very occasionally get an internet connection by stopping the Waydroid session/container and rebooting. Even then it is very unstable and after a very brief time of using eg. a browser it freezes and the whole system crashes and the device has to be restarted. But if someone can say that it works for them it would really inspire me to keep trying!
