@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@MrT10001 After Rebort System, the phone will restart and then enter the fastboot interface. adb is Scanning for devices will appear in the downloader. If the phone is restarted, it will remain stuck in the fastboot interface until the system is reloaded

@Fizz Not as far as I know, but you can clear the cache folder (i wouldn't recommend it though as things may "misbehave"). The only issue I have had with getting rid off things was a build up of lg files for some reason on my Redmi Note 7, resolved by clearing the cache from booting into Recovery - back things up if you do to cover any issues. However I have never had to do it for every day maintenance.

@AppLee I've had another go with the usbotg-dongled mouse. On my device, it's not doing everything I'd like, or I'm missing the way... Or is it my mouse? I can see open applications, by swiping from right side, but cannot position the pointer to swipe any up & away. The mouse doesn't open the application drawer with a swipe from the left [aha! just solved this one - push left edge and wait] In Morph browser, how can open tabs be closed by mouse? Scrolling is very slow. Cheers, KJU

Hello, if someone doesn’t get it, here’s the solution. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA): Go to https://myaccount.google.com/security. Under Google Sign In, find and click Two-Step Verification. Follow the instructions to enable two-step verification. You will need to add a phone number to receive codes. Create an application password: After enabling two-factor authentication, go to https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords. Create a password for the Mail application. It will look like a set of 16 characters. Set up Dekko 2 using the application password (16 characters): Open the Dekko 2 app on your Ubuntu Touch device. Proceed to add a new account and enter your Gmail email address. When asked for a password, use the generated app password instead of the normal password from your Google account. IMAP and SMTP server settings: IMAP server: imap.gmail.com IMAP port: 993 IMAP encryption: SSL/TLS SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com SMTP port: 465 or 587 SMTP encryption: SSL/TLS Two days of torment and I finally managed to do it.

@developerbayman May I know which ROM did you use in the end?. I download the latest android 10 rom at the website suggested by ubport and flash it prior to ut installation. Now with SensorsStatus it seems only GPS works. Rotation doesn't work. One of my sim card also doesn't work.

@hilbert a little late to the party, but you are right the other variables should not impact your sync. I think the "config name" can be important, if you used special characters it could be problematic, but other than that they all are phone related. If you still have problems with carddav sync, i wrote a script which setup these things with automated sync (systemd instead of cron), take a look here : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/10127/contacts-carddav-automatic-setup-and-sync-through-this-script (hoping you already solved this issue )

I think you should first try rebooting into the bootloader/fastboot mode and check if your device is recognized by your computer using the command 'fastboot devices'. If it's recognized, you can try flashing a stock ROM or LineageOS using the appropriate commands. If the partition table issue persists, you may need to use tools like fastbootd or QFIL to rewrite the partition table, but this process can be complex and may require advanced technical knowledge.

Hello @linuxfanche , I think you can play audio via bluetooth like in the car or on a bluetooth speaker (if I understood the question correctly). Video streaming via Bluetooth does not exist as far as I know.

@wisdomlight yes, and no. There are several options, but none of them are perfect: Install Axolotl from the openstore. It can act as a primary or secondary device. It's currently bare bone and didn't always work when i used it as a secondary device, haven't tried primary. Install Signal through waydroid. It works well, but you don't get push notifications and waydroid drains your battery faster. Create a matrix bridge or purchase one. The bridge act as a secondary device and you can use the matrix app Cinny. I currently use a purchased matrix bridge from element one, and Cinny. It works ok now after they resolved some issues with the bridge that happened earlier this year. I use signal in waydroid as a primary device, and have it as a backup in case the bridge fail ( it has been stable so far). Unfortunately I can't copy paste stuff in the Cinny app, i've opened an issue on github.
