@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@larshenric Hi, do You still use Nexus 4 with Ubuntu Touch? How is it? I installed it 3 day ago and I can see that it is quite nice system with some of critical "but"s: It takes too long for some even basing apps to open/load (for example app Phone loads for up to 4 sec.); in the phone with 2GB of RAM and quad core processor it is unacceptable, lack of some options which are available in android and other operating systems (ex. Sailfish, Firefox), for ex. option show/hide my number on outgoing calls, and many many other of course battery life is absolutely not enough, it lasts in half a day with not a lot of use (a couple of calls, couple of messages and set some of phone options). Have You found any tips/tricks to expand a battery life? What are Your general impressions?

Same for me too on both my Aquaris E4.5s but I am only on r3 and it occurred only after a recent update, presumably to r3. I've tried switching to the RC channel and the development channel and the problem is still present.

@th3f0rc3 Hi. Go to settings, then updates. At the bottom update settings. You will then see channels. Press on that and away you go. Go back to the update page and it should be downloading any new updates. Di the same to change back ugh you want. I have no issues with Dev channel so left it there.

Thanks for the update. I just noticed that on an already installed libertine you need to edit ~/.cache/libertine-container/first/rootfs/etc/apt/sources.list changing the URLs therein to http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu Cheers

@chaosdelphin said in Telegram Notification: buntu_one accounts there Guys look at this list: https://github.com/ubports/telegram-app/issues - there are 54 issues with Telegram, you think notifications is special? Think again, plus we are about 1-2 years behind the official clients, in regard to features. We are working as fast as we can, but we are no fulltime devs... BR

@marathon2422 said in APN Settings.: @tupp I cannot see a problem, just check you can send /receive pics,in messages. Thank you for checking the link. For IOS, Android and Windows Mobile, there are differences in the APN information and the way that it is entered with each of those platforms. Since Mint Sim (the carrier) seems to have no clue about Ubuntu Touch (nor to have any inclination to correspond directly with customers on technical matters), just checking if I can send/receive pics could be a costly and time-consuming gamble for me. However, since Mint Sims rates are so low, the reward is attractive. I might "bite the bullet" and buy a 3-month plan to see if I can make it work with my Ubuntu Touch phone. @libremax said in APN Settings.: APN settings are in System Settings / Mobile / Carriers I do not see "System Settings > Mobile > Carriers" in Ubuntu Touch, but I do see "System Settings > Network > Cellular." @libremax said in APN Settings.: I never had to set APN though To get full functionality, Mint Sim (the carrier) requires manual entry of some APN settings, in most cases. Thanks!
