@RJDan I don't know what's causing this but it does happen to some people from time to time. Probably the servers? In any case, it can take 5 mins or an hour in my experience

@andromeda I think it's better a clean start if you're experiencing problems, but you can backup whatever you want from click packages only to the whole /home directory You can use ssh or adb for that.

@andromeda Sorry your still having issues. Only thing I could suggest on my little knowledge/experience would be to back up everything factory reset the tablet and try a clean install of ubports. It's a right old faff of a job but if its still doing it after that it may well be the hardware, thats if you haven't tried that already of course. If its only restarting when charging it may be charger issue but I guess you've tried different chargers well/ cables as well.

Same problem, I solve with this (https://devices.ubports.com/#/cooler Install using system-image server NOTE: This will wipe your device! Please back up all valuable data. Install the required tools: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-device-flash phablet-tools 2. Reboot your device into fastboot mode and Connect your device with an USB cable to your computer. Download adb unlocked recovery: http://cdimage.ubports.com/devices/recovery-cooler.img wget http://cdimage.ubports.com/devices/recovery-cooler.img 4. Flash your device using this command: (NOTE! This will wipe your phone!) sudo ubuntu-device-flash --server=http://system-image.ubports.com touch --device=cooler --channel=15.04/stable --bootstrap --recovery-image=recovery-cooler.img

@hummlbach said in ubuntu touch on a lenovo yoga 3 pro: I don't know what I've done to spoil it, but I assume it was an apt-get upgrade approximately one month ago... I've gotten into screwed-up states with apt-get upgrade. I'd suggest you flash again and start over

@higuita Don't think your missing anything, many of the scopes are no longer available as they came from Ubuntu touch and stopped when support from them stopped. Check out uapp explorer and the open app store to see what is still available. I lost alot of the scopes you mention when I moved my mx4 over to ubports a few weeks ago, but still have calls and message scopes on the nexus 5 which has been on ubports alot longer.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. So Thunderbird on the phone is out for me (seems to be difficult to install and not really usable). For Dekko I`ve allowed access with no security anyway. I'm wondering if I am the only one with this problem. Maybe I should reinstall Ubuntu Touch and see if it works better then. I did set the settings back to default, then updated everything again, but it didn't help.

@hummlbach That's it. Thank you. I didn't know what that lock item was. I found the ics file at the expected position as mentioned above. When I conntect the phone via USB to the computer I can't see the hidden phablet files (and there is no lock item either). So I helped myself by copying the file in my phone to the dokuments folder on the phone and that folder I can access by computer.

It's a shame that UBports installer doesn't work with Android flashed devices. Had to flash old UT with Flash tool before UB installer worked with my M10.

I have solved the issue. The fail was a media scanner corrupted database located in: /home/username/.cache/mediascanner-2.0/mediastore.db Once removed the file and rebooted the phone, new database was created succesfully. I left this topic because may be useful to other users with the same problem. Thanks to all the developers for keeping this project alive

@arexler22 Firstly please double check developer mode is on if not put it on and try again.( very bottom of About section). You can manually put the device into fastboot by restarting it holding the power button and volume down buttons at the same time(fastboot appears in small text bottom left of screen). You could also try the Magic Device Tool (dev version) if it still supports ubports. This worked for me when putting ubports on my mx4 a few weeks ago. If not it may still be able to unlock your bootloader (OEM unlock). Also have a look at the last two posts by Marathon2422 under the thread Install UBports in an Aquarius 10 etc in the support section. That script might help but change the word frieze to arale and devel to stable. You will also need to install ADB and fastboot on your PC / laptop first. There are plenty of instructions out there. Search this forum or the net. When thats done run sudo bootloader OEM unlock and carry on from there. Sorry if this is very confusing but you will get there in the end.

Hi, I also used he FP2 and the camera button does nothing currently. I see that there is a proposed enhancement here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/33 I like the idea to have this button configurable. But it seems to not be a priority, and I agree with that, I would prefer to have first the camera flash working (see https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/448).
