Hi Zaito, so sorry for delay, I have only just logged on in ages. I tested it on GS5 only - installed UT 24.04 because it was the only way to make phonecalls when 3g packed up. Nothing I did enabled Waydroid to persist. Meaning that if waydroid was closed for any reason, you couldn't reboot it without a completely fresh installation. This rectified in June with a new UT update. Everything works well in both UT and Waydroid with one exception; there is no clipboard on waydroid. Which means you cannot copy or paste anything in any circumstances. If I need waydroid copy facilities I have to use another phone running UT20.04. Hope all is well.

Hi. Thanks a bunch. I pushed power+vol up but then the tablet started rebooting over and over. Finally I got it stopped and kicked it into fastboot mode. Third time the installer found the device and now the problem seems solved... Thanks again all of you

This has been discussed on the telegram group and someone suggested a workaround while the issue still exists. vlladdrakk on telegram: So I took a look at that code, though I don't know c++ well, but it looks like it is a case sensitivity issue. The detected name is "pine64 pinephone (1.2)" but the name in pinephone.yaml is "Pine64 PinePhone (1.2)" I edited /etc/deviceinfo/devices/pinephone.yaml to match the case of the detected name and device info is now showing the correct device information. It is odd since the detected name is purposely lowercased here: https://gitlab.com/ubports/core/deviceinfo/-/blob/main/src/config.cpp#L65 and that change was from a long time ago, so I'm not sure why it is causing a problem now and not before. Someone else may already be fixing the problem

@siwuarek said in Error: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED: the problem is uAdBlock I would say the problem is user error. As uAdBlock is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

@tonsing I don't know, and when i don't know, i search the world (very) wide web ^^ You can do that or wait for someone else, who knows, answer. All i can say is on MX4, you can do this between 16 and 32 GB memory motherboard, all the rest's the same (but MX4 is particular, because you can't install uTouch on the majority of them, 16 or 32).

In terminal I can start "docviewer" app with the command: ubuntu-app-launch com.ubuntu.docviewer_docviewer_2.3.567 but how can I add a path to my document in order to be opened directly by docviewer? In former versions this was possible. Any suggestions? Help is still appreciated...

@keneda Thank you! Great! Somehow I missed this configuration menu item. And... it would be nice to make the field for entering the start password black, so never mind...

@flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: We are aware of this problem and will try to fix it in upcoming releases. @kugiigi said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: Is rebooting necessary for this to take effect? @flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: @kugiigi yes I think So i guess it's not fixed yet ^^ One question though : @flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: You need to type those commands on your PC in a shell window, not on the phone itself: Why can't it be done directly from the device using terminal?

@doniks many thanks for this, on a mako the persist directory existed but the .macaddr file didn't. I created the file with a random mac and now the phone reconnects to wifi after a reboot.

@markatrafik said in Ubuntu Touch with TWRP: How UBports can be installed on Redmi Note 7, if TWRP was previously installed on it? ubports does not install, it installs ubuntu touch OS. twrp is not an OS it's a recovery (something like a bios). Some device needs TWRP to run with ubports, some others not. They are mandatory things to do prior to run ubports instaler for any device. Your device https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/lavender/ needs androïd 9.0 vendor image if i refer to its device page, and you can install uTouch using ubports as you cans see on it. Anyway, like said by @Lakotaubp, you should search Note 7 subforum, and why not, post a new thread there for help. I don't know what exactly Redmi Note 7 need to run properly ubports, and it even maybe need twrp, but you issue a bug from ubports software, who knows... someone sure, but not me ^^

By mistake I also took a F5321 today, instead of the F5121. I tried to install ubports, but no luck. After the manual selection of the model, the flash succeeded, but when rebooted, a black screen appears. Did you manage to install it?

@ganzredmi4 Hi, same xiaomi 4X, just installed today. Had a first unsuccessful attempt with the same description of events as you. At the secound and successful attempt, i simply waited, quite long, for the device to finalize its complet setup. I msy have waited for more than ten minutes. And yes, it tells you that it is going to reboot, after all the completion of the process. Be well, peace
