@bearbobs sorry for the late reply its been busy with work...did you have to host the emulationstation?....because not sure how to host from within a clickable.....Iv seen the project before but have not really done anything with it....if it runs totally client side its do able....but if it needs hosting I don't think it can be done....the nes I'm working on is a heavily modded JavaScript emulator runs totally client side i added touch support fixed up the audio and added a lot of mapper support.....one big issue is the webview out of the box is....well lacking...if you load mario you will see black squares around the clouds and other sprites...not the emulator but the webview....

@kugiigi I have 4 webapps open at the same time on the BQ E5 HD, and nothing is killed ! I put the link of the thread on the Volla open issue but your interesting ideas and leads might be useful to submit directly even if you don't own a Volla.

Hi and welcome @jkr0488 This device is not supported, see: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ And for future reference, please create your own thread in the appropriate subforum. See also this post for questions about port to an unsupported device: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x Edit: Also this thread is similar to the one mentioned by Lakotaubp so I'll close this one. To help the OP, please answer there: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5987/freezes-and-reboots-with-sim-card-inserted

Hi and welcom @paul_h What are the websites you're trying to reach from Morph ? Is it possible that uAdBlock is blocking those sites ? You can try and ping the destination to see if the DNS find the destination and if you can ping it from your device.

If i remember correctly Mobian use ofono as well so maybe that's something that could be useful for us too. https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=11994

@jcmarvillet My advice, don't rely on a company to maintain something for us (Ubuntu Touch users). What I would do: manually export my calendar from google import it into a nexcloud account then sync nextcloud with UT Nextcloud will remain and if you're using service by some company and not your own instance then don't forget to backup your data Nextcloud will be maintained as Google may decide to block any third party... They are already pushing in this direction.

Hi. Thanks a bunch. I pushed power+vol up but then the tablet started rebooting over and over. Finally I got it stopped and kicked it into fastboot mode. Third time the installer found the device and now the problem seems solved... Thanks again all of you

This has been discussed on the telegram group and someone suggested a workaround while the issue still exists. vlladdrakk on telegram: So I took a look at that code, though I don't know c++ well, but it looks like it is a case sensitivity issue. The detected name is "pine64 pinephone (1.2)" but the name in pinephone.yaml is "Pine64 PinePhone (1.2)" I edited /etc/deviceinfo/devices/pinephone.yaml to match the case of the detected name and device info is now showing the correct device information. It is odd since the detected name is purposely lowercased here: https://gitlab.com/ubports/core/deviceinfo/-/blob/main/src/config.cpp#L65 and that change was from a long time ago, so I'm not sure why it is causing a problem now and not before. Someone else may already be fixing the problem

@siwuarek said in Error: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED: the problem is uAdBlock I would say the problem is user error. As uAdBlock is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

@tonsing I don't know, and when i don't know, i search the world (very) wide web ^^ You can do that or wait for someone else, who knows, answer. All i can say is on MX4, you can do this between 16 and 32 GB memory motherboard, all the rest's the same (but MX4 is particular, because you can't install uTouch on the majority of them, 16 or 32).

In terminal I can start "docviewer" app with the command: ubuntu-app-launch com.ubuntu.docviewer_docviewer_2.3.567 but how can I add a path to my document in order to be opened directly by docviewer? In former versions this was possible. Any suggestions? Help is still appreciated...

@flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: We are aware of this problem and will try to fix it in upcoming releases. @kugiigi said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: Is rebooting necessary for this to take effect? @flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: @kugiigi yes I think So i guess it's not fixed yet ^^ One question though : @flohack said in [HowTo] Change the name of your device for Bluetooth pairing: You need to type those commands on your PC in a shell window, not on the phone itself: Why can't it be done directly from the device using terminal?

@doniks many thanks for this, on a mako the persist directory existed but the .macaddr file didn't. I created the file with a random mac and now the phone reconnects to wifi after a reboot.
