@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

Perhaps you can check how UTTT does the switching to windowed mode and if it's just a script, you can add something in upstart which can be triggered every boot. Scaling for example can be done this way, actually it's what UTTT does to be persistent.

I found out that some apps are working, but if I'm remembering correctly, usually the morph browser that I used in Ubuntu touch as the vnc client, gave me problems. If Morph would be more modern it would work, but sometimes when I needed to enter some text somewhere, Morph wouldn't give me a keyboard etc I was thinking about Guacamole or DWService Could't get it going... (did not try Anbox / teamviewer by the way)

We also have our own PinePhone thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2403/pinephone/546 and Braveheart thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3931/pinephone-braveheart/46 If PinePhone questions could be kept to one of those it would probably help everybody interested in PinePhone.

Sorry, I've been trying to download from Tutanota mail and you can't download files from Ut, you don't do it with your browser and neither from webapp, The problem is from Tutanota, I have 4 different emails and they all download the files without problems, Gmail, Protonmail, Mailbox and Mailo, We have an option, use Dekko for Tutanota mail and verify that it works Regards....

Sorry to say, a certain batch of OPOs has a different persistent storage, so the MAC address i snot initialized correctly, leading to a faileed driver load. If some of the devs could get hands-on such a device its probably a matter of a few days to fix it, but so far all of our models are "working" ones. Though we get those reports since over a year now. I have no idea how to fix it, other than pointing you here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/995 -> you need to create the mentioned config file in /persist partition of your device. Boot in recovery, mount /persist and then do the steps that are scattered in this thread - If you could write a better HowTo would be grand.

@oxwivi There is very little point in restarting an old thread, things have moved on a lot. Please start a new thread and say what device you are trying to install Anbox on. It does not work on all devices I think. Also have a search of the Forum for Anbox issues for that device your issue may already have been solved. Thanks. I will now lock this one.

@Eric You already created a thread for this issue. No need to open several. ADB is an Android tool, there is no such thing for the PinePhone. Edit: I'll lock this thread, please see how to SSH into your Pinephone there.

@pixelated In UT we have long and short swipe from both right and left sides. Inverting the drawer will just invert the problem. I think what is asked here is the same thing as "I wanna go home". There are two main drives that I see in this kind of requests: First is the will for customization Then there is the comfort of what is known (frequent comparison with Android) About the first one having choice is nice but having something working is even better. And customization requires lot of work to extract a generic API exposing in a secure manner the various aspect that people might wanna customize. Customization and security don't get along very well, it requires persuasion to make it work About the other one I know people having used both iOS and Android and they all wish some features from one system and others from the second. No one will ever be happy with what he's given. But the best is try and choose what is the best for one self. Of course suggestions are welcome, it helps improve our system but there are tough choices to make. Mine is stability over showing off. Android is all about showing off, new features, new UI, new UX but always with lack of stability. What I like with Linux on my computer is stability I want a system I can rely on to do the job and thus allowing me to do mine. That's the same with my phone. In this manner I like how UBports made the choice of working on behind-the-scene features with what I consider a small meaningless UX change with the app drawer. The feature request is interesting IMO but I think what the foundation is focused on is catching up with 20.4, increase stability and better ports. Customization will be a priority some day but I guess it's up to volunteers to make a proposal if they want to be able to add new UI/UX alternatives.
