@metalmyles said in Change DNS settings on UT Devices: As far as I know UT is not sending information to google, or a big tech corp. It doesn't indeed.

@captaincook Well if it's an obvious major issue like wifi doesn't work, or camera or calling it's probably device specific. If it's a general question like how do I do this or that, or if after an OTA a feature is missing (regression) then it's more device agnostic hence better asked in support. I know it can be confusing but support was crowded with device specific questions making it harder to find answers. Now you can search the dedicated subforum and learn about what is not working yet and witness progress. While you can ask for help about how to do something with UT ; how to sync my files with Nextcloud... I hope it helps.

@lakotaubp Thanks. The link was for GPS, not WIFI. I did some digging, and turns out that without active mobile network card in the phone, AGPS will use a long time to get a fix. This is because AGPS use cell tower fix to determine rough location, and then get help from internet to calculate a more accurate position. (Simple explanation, read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assisted_GPS) I put my phone card in the Nexus 6P, and even inside it took under 1 min for the unit to have a fix and position. So now I only have WIFI to sort out.

@antonyj Indeed, do not download the Anbox image on the Nexus 5. It is already pre-installed by default. Doing so might creating bugs. Just start here: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo apt update sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb anbox-tool install exit If you have an error message telling you an insufficient memory in /var, you can try as following: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo rm -r /var/cache/apt # delete the apt cache; frees space on system image sudo tune2fs -m 0 /dev/loop0 # space reserved exclusively for root user on system image set to zero sudo apt update # recreate apt cache to install Anbox and adb sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb sudo mount -o ro,remount / exit

@Marathon2422 @emailforfor Thanks a lot, guys, for sharing these instructions. It works for my BQ Aquaris M10 HD. I've posted detailed steps to fix the issue in this Github thread.

@altr0n Looking at this: https://github.com/ubports/android_kernel_lge_hammerhead/blob/ubp-5.1/arch/arm/configs/cyanogenmod_hammerhead_defconfig#L1491 bcmdhd is being built as a module. Can you confirm that it is being built? Maybe it's just not being installed. How exactly did you "craft" the boot image?
