    @Alain This featute isn't in UT/Lomiri yet. Simplest way is to make something like a home screen app and there are some that exists already like Launcher Modular. Not sure they have app groups though. You can contribute to them if you don't want to make your own. However, they obviously act like a normal app. Best you can do is pin it to the Launcher for easy access. Or you can contribute to Lomiri and implement it in the App drawer which definitely needs some love There's even a bounty for it so there's money to get

    @sentinel hello, Let's try to figure out why you have these unusual problems in order to fix them. First can I ask you which version of MIUI did you flash before installing Ubuntu Touch?

    @herr-b Search field (the one you see when starting entering text into Near location, same in routing) links bookmarks and addresses. They both are searched while you type (assuming that provider supports it). In many of my replies I mention provider. From the beginning, Pure Maps (with its earlier names Poor Maps and WhoGo Maps) was designed to be modular. It is easy to add new providers for search, nearby venues, and routing. Each provider can have it's own settings that alter the action. For routing, some search only routes for cars, some do more. For nearby venues, default online provider is https://foursquare.com/. That "Best" or Most Popular comes from them. Over offline provider - OSM Scout Server - I have some control as I am the author of it. But note that even there, routing is provided via one of the libraries - Valhalla - and the server can be considered as just an extra layer for that. For search (global and nearby), though, control is larger as it is using geocoder-nlp that I wrote. Although, it becomes question of my time and priorities among projects that I contribute to.

    UBports OS broken in my pinephone

    My pinephone has a very limited functionality. I made updates when i booted the first time. Now i tried stable (2020-07-04), rc and dev. No cellular network (can not connect), no mobile data, no gps, no camera (should be normal). I checked the hardware buttons and turned them off and on again. The cellular network tries to connect but then is rejected. The gps does nothing. In the apps permissions i have no entries for camera, location and microphone, which is not normal. By installing unav and puremaps i was not asked to give permissions. What does the reset button on the back? Is there a way to fully reflash the phone?

    With the situation you describe, I believe the best is to remove it from the community dropdown, and also close the mailing lists. Although it still the best as primary collaboration mean.

    Nexus 5 - Trouble Accessing Wifi

    @Flohack I am not exactly sure. I can say that when the Wifi wasn't working, it also automatically set my date to 1970. I set it aside for a while and put it on the charger. I turned on the screen again and saw that the date and time was correct and the Wifi was working. So maybe it had something to do with the battery not being charged?

    @singpolyma apt is still not supported as a means of installing things in the rootfs. All of those things can be installed inside a libertine container and it works fine.

    @flaun-in That's a different and known bug with Media Hub on the RC branches. I've had to switch to stable branch for now until it's resolved.

    Yep..that does indeed work.Many thanks indeed.It'll also be useful now to know where messages/contacts etc are stored so I can run a regular backup to my home server.My Nexus 5 has just died but I bought another identical one as it was so good.All my history and messages have transferred across with no problems

    @Keneda Yeah, I've seen cheaper, but I didn't want to take the chance since I was about to install UT on it, as i did. Last thing I needed was a hardware issue...
