@Keneda but if you are looking for hosting a forum yourself, I would rather recommend Flarum. Discourse is also great, but a bit heavy on server resources.

@pparent I asked about the chances of ever getting OpenSource drivers for modem etc., on the UBports Matrix channel, and got an informative response: the bandwidth and power is tight and - quite rightly - needs to be constrained. OpenSourcing the code would presumably make that unpoliceable I did wonder though... if chip producers could give the end user some confidence, by publishing the code, or by making it in some way ReadOnly. (I fully realize how paranoid I sound : I just can't help but think that we're sleepwalking in Orwell's dystopia. )

Just to let you know that I changed my mind about this kind of app after reading this document (in french), showing many security problems inherent to any app like this: https://risques-tracage.fr/docs/risques-tracage.pdf

Maybe one angle how the app being open source could be useful is if a developer wanted to make it work well in anbox, then they would have more leverage to debug or tweak things to make it work in that environment ... just 2cents ... (maybe just 1 and a half cents really, I have never even tried anbox myself LOL)

@domubpkm I think it'd cause confusion regardless, because people would see the lorimi icon and wonder what that's suppose to mean, no one with a Ubuntu Touch phone has that logo, its only recognizable if you've been active in the UBports chats, and things are still possible to change. You don't want to put a logo in the image, that will only confuse people, at least with the Yumi logo, people already associate it with UBports, because its the UBports mascot. I think as soon as the Lomiri logo is signed off on, we'll start seeing that in promotional images as such.

For Nexus 5 PolarCell. I've put a lot of work into it, and other than doing the Nexus 5X battery mod, no battery works better.

It appears someone finally figured out how to unlock the bootloader of most Windows phones, but I don't see any successful Android ROMs, nor much development, for the HP Elite X3. It's a start, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. https://liliputing.com/2019/01/pretty-much-every-recent-windows-phone-is-now-hackable.html

@Conner Me and my wife are using Nexus 5 on daily basis. I bought two NEW items on eBay and they are still available there. We also have NEW BQ M10 HD (cooler) and it's still also available on eBay. The downside of new Nexus 5, however, is that it's quite old and I had to replace original battery (made on January of 2014) after two months of usage. Another known issue is it's power button that may cause a boot loop year or two later.

@karvet Hi, I moved your topic to this section as it's more suitable. The "Porting" category is for ongoing device ports. You might want to check this post though : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x And this one for supported devices : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ Thanks for your understanding.

Please don't post similar again. We are not a medical sight and have no knowledge of the the safety value of any of these links. The next one will be deleted. Thank you.
