    Updated: Now this script is almost unnecessary on Ubuntu/Debian or some Ubuntu/Debian based distros, it can still run the old script fine. But I still do this project so that other Linux distro users can still build without any problems.

    @Ken1971 Yesterday the same problem appeared on my Fairphone 3. The log just tells me that the session is starting, and that the /dev/anbox-binder has appeared, nothing else. Any precautions needed for the reinstallation? I would hate to loose my data within the waydroid container. EDIT: removing and reinstalling did not change it - waydroid still hangs at the start.

Waydroid, UT, or both? Maybe report to Waydroid on UT first, since the problem seems to be related on Ubuntu Touch system (or lomiri desktop). Does not happened on other distro for phone like Droidian (phosh desktop) or other distro like Ubuntu (GNOME desktop) Desktop distro like Ubuntu(not lomiri), Fedora, Arch, etc... are not tested yet because I didn't install Waydroid on those system. EDIT: Tested on my Surface Go 3 running Ubuntu Lomiri 24.04 LTS. After installed latest Waydroid image. It crashed when moving mouse cursor over to Waydroid window on Lomiri as expected. But if I install ubuntu-desktop (The vanilla Ubuntu desktop which use GNOME) on the same Surface Go 3 and switch to GNOME, Waydroid works perfectly without crashing while moving mouse cursor on Waydroid window. (Thought taps not showing when touch for some reason despite "Show Taps" has been enabled on developer menu, maybe it's GNOME side minor issue?) So the problem seems to be on Lomiri side.

    @developerbayman Yes but Waydroid leaks all the available information as if you were running android. If privacy is the main goal of using Ubuntu Touch, waydroid should be used carefully. Of course it won't sniff around to find your juicy pictures, but still your location and usage of the android apps will leak. Just like Meta cannot read your WhatsApp messages, but they're happy with "only" the metadata associated with such usage...
