    @gpatel-fr I am glad to say the SIM started working again: I rebooted without the SIM, and then with it again. I also recall the SIM was working the second time I booted UT for the first time ever on the phone (the first time I booted I'd forgotten to insert it). Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch and Fairphone 5 users running 24.04 stable are 'SIM-safe'.

    @kugiigi I see, so convergence at the moment is mainly intended with mouse and keyboard. Any suggestions for portable monitors / external displays that have happened to work quite well with UT? I know e-ink is getting very popular these days, with video-ready refresh rates and color and it's definitely exciting, but I'm unsure how feasible they are at the moment. To say the least, the situation is getting rather interesting, eg. https://spectrum.ieee.org/e-paper-display-modos.

    @CatWithUT Were you ever able to figure out a way? I'm very much used to Termux where I simply press a modifier button and then the other key, as if I had sticky keys enabled on a hardware keyboard...

    Hello, I am currently running Ubuntu Unity 24.04 with Unity 7.7 desktop. I was wondering if it is possible to install Lomiri alongside to play around with it and switch between Unity 7.7 and Lomiri from the LightDM. I tried running Lomiri on Debian 13 but it did not work with multi-monitor in my case and so I cannot change to Lomiri as a primary desktop until this is repaired (as I see from the website, this is "under construction", per se). I love Unity and love to see the future of how this desktop develops as Lomiri formerly Unity 8. Thank you!!

    @uxes That is a great program, but I heard that ATL relies on GTK. Which is not integrated into UT. And besides, list of supported apps is limited compared to Waydroid.

For Waydroid I still need a Google account and the purpose is to get rid of Google and Apple accounts The default image of Waydroid does not have Play Services or anything else. As others have said, you can download F-Droid then use that to install Aurora Store, and from there, install apps that are on the Play Store. But as for bluetooth, this will not work in Waydroid. It is a limitation of Waydroid itself.
